If you're looking for another foreign 5 pointer to add to the asset base, what about Max Ruml? Looked a much better prospect in my eyes riding in the world cup then Castagna.

Could be a hint of sarcasm since his signing has pretty much been hinted since last season ended. Either way we'll find out pretty soon. -

Either would be a waste. To be quite honest, this team will only work if we have someone who can work as a heat leader. Proctor aside, i can't actually think of someone available who'd fill that role. -
Ricky's Big Day. Benefit Meeting.

Hard to watch. But it's nice to see him getting better and hopefully he'll have a long continued healthy progression. If anyone deserves a massive meeting, it's Ricky. A similar crowd & field of rider to what Garry Stead had would be perfect really. Unfortunately i can't make the meeting which I'm absolutely gutted by, but I'll follow suit of mr ore and donate whatever my entrance fee would be and hopefully get the dvd after if it's being filmed. -
Completely agree. Might've seemed down and out last season but i really feel he could kick off for Redcar this time round.

Excellent looking side to me! Solid heatleaders, good middle men and a reserve on a bargain average. I can definitely see Covatti upping his average a fair bit if he's on decent machinery. I see an awful lot of potential in that team from 1-7, and if reached Ipswich will be the team to beat for me.

Looks a solid enough side to me. Lacking a true number one, but I think one of them could step up to the plate. Very surprised that Ash Morris has been left out when he could've easily been slotted in for Barrett though, Is there doubt whether he'll be ready to start the season?

Sissis would be a good signing, as long as we start him at reserve. I feel he'd still need his time to get back into the swing of things in speedway. And as long as bates does get a reduction, we could have- Stead Bellego Birks Poole Proctor Bates Sissis -

I can't see him being away from Sheffield, or at least i hope not! I think on that sort of average he's a bit of a steal. I just can't see the point in letting him leave after just signing him up as an asset. -
Why would Kozza average be lower?

Wouldn't be surprised at all if they did make it mandatory to have Brits at reserve if I'm honest. And even though Covatti would be a trump card at reserve, i wouldn't be apposed to the idea of it at all. Something needs to change either way. -

http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/other-sports/speedway/sheffield-speedway-nico-covatti-wants-to-return-1-6943791 Looks like Covatti wants to return! Bit unsure on Nico, there's obviously something about him but we only saw him in glimpses. A spell at reserve should do him a world of good though and i think we'd get a lot out of him on such a low average of 4.19. -

I wouldn't be too concerned with regards to Stead. You can look at the flip side and say why haven't they announced Bates yet? Without a doubt in my mind, unless there's a massive in the league structure or points limit, then both will be at Sheffield. -

Sarjeant- 3 Facu- 3.66 Bates- 3.53 (or 3.44 if he get's a reduction) There's no chance Bates won't be at Sheffield next season though. But i think a reserve pairing of Bates with Albin would work. -

Very odd. They did say they were gonna announce the first signing of next season. Wonder what changed there? -

A few PBHS sponsored riders would be nice too! -
Heavens forbid it's a lack of organization from the club itself. Because you know, it'd never be their fault would it? What an absolute shambles. I just can't believe there's actually fans defending their club over this when they're clearly in the wrong. But blind loyalty goes a long way i suppose. Unfortunately not every fan will put up with such amateur workings and there's no way speedway can run off die hard alone. Hopefully this will be the end of it and the promotion will put in effort so it doesn't happen again. Especially now the last thing we need is another club struggling. but stuff like this is only going to push more and more away.
-
The situation is completely incomparable. That meeting today would have run with a bit of organization and professionalism, whereas Berwick was just unavoidable. Another day in which speedway simply looks amateur. This sort of stuff needs to be stomped out and quick. It's only going to push fans further away from the sport.

Something Got To Change (sheffield)

I'd be happy with that, especially if he came as an asset too. Or a straight swap of Roynon for Nielsen would do nicely. -

If the club has any ambition whatsoever, they'll make a change with that team. No matter what way anyone wants to sugar coat it this team isn't good enough. Not at all. We're in the exact same position as last season where we're 3 points under the limit and have some real scope to make a change that will make a big difference. Even just to drop Nielsen for Hall would at least make us a lot stronger at home and would levitate the pressure from the other riders, although I'd be hoping we can make a better signing. I'm not at all concerned about letting Nielsen go, the effort without a doubt has been there, but it's no good if the score isn't. Frankly, he might be better off at Newcastle.
