  1. It probably did because it looks like he's read it twice by the looks of the quote.
  2. Sadly I'm going to have to miss this one as I will be in Dorset. Good luck to The Storm.
  3. Okay fair enough. I've not been for a few years but was it at Cardiff where Scott Nicholls pulled up because he thought he'd seen a red light? Or perhaps as usual I'm completely wrong.
  4. Ah....got it now thanks. Sturminster Marshall......and I even get the Aussie joke as well. Took me a while though.
  5. Is there anywhere in the Poole/Bournemouth area that's likely to be showing the G.P. please?
  6. I should think so as there are usually loads of photos on Facebook afterwards. No flash or red light thingy to be used whilst racing is on though.
  7. Updates have the Leicester reserves the other way around. Which is correct anyone know?
  8. Very interesting. Would just like to say that Liontamer is definitely not Dave Howard but I think he is still one of the believers. Can't say I've ever seen anything negative from him on here and he gets quite 'uptight' with fans that do.
  9. That's why it's such a shame that a good racing track wasn't built in the first place. I've always said the track is more important than facilities and I'd be quite happy to stand on a grassy bank with no 'stands' or seating if the racing wasn't processional. Those who are critical are not just doing it for the heck of it - they truly care how this has all turned out after waiting 28 years for speedway to return to Leicester.
  10. Must admit I hide behind my programme board a few times when watching N.L. racing at Coventry as they scare me to death. I will still carry on supporting the Storm though and watch them develop over the season.
  11. I think Coventry may have the same problem as to who Adam replaces, not just Leicester. Robbo, Summers or the Pole whose name I can't spell.
  12. Track looked very wet at the beginning and some riders seemed to be having a problem getting round the 4th bend. Racing not as good as the first Storm meeting and due to several crashes it was a bit drawn out and didn't finish until 10.10pm. Still enjoyed it though and as the 4th bend was deserted apart from one person I decided to have a walk round with Lucy and watch from different places. Nice to have a chat with lucifer sam who I haven't seen for donkeys years at Oxford and meet Alan Boon for the first time. Sorry to have another moan again about all the dog poo but it really is getting disgusting on the 3rd/4th bends and I also noticed a dollop on the steps in front of the grandstand. Just not good enough in a public place and the Greyhound people should be asked to clear it all up. Edit...Hopefully it will all be gone by Bank Holiday Monday when Shadders pays his first visit to Coventry or he won't be very happy.
  13. It would be quite interesting to know how much Sky's viewing figures have dropped for speedway or how many they have lost taking out the Sports package now they no longer cover the G.P's. I've always renewed every March but I've not bothered this season because I'm not keen on just paying out to watch E.L matches.
  14. So why was it graded so much? Surely not because of the Ipswich riders? if the Leicester riders were happy with the track that's what 'home advantage' is all about.
  15. Thank you TWK. Believe in astrology or not but I guess I get it from my 'young at heart' Gemini genes.
  16. He's probably got over sulking by now. Perhaps giving him a spot at the British G.P. was a little sweetener. I'm pretty sure this was only done to try to increase the attendance as ticket sales are low, but I know 8 friends at Coventry who are not going after attending all the others so it's not worked in their case.
  17. Out of the two it's Lucy who I prefer next to me as she just goes to sleep whereas it's moan, moan, whinge, whinge from the other half. I'm just glad he goes to Leicester and I still support Coventry.
  18. Can't really judge Coventry yet as Storm have only had one match. I thought the attendance was good but there were a lot of Cradley fans there so no doubt the crowd will be less next time. I asked my friends why they hadn't gone and they said if it was £5 they would have done but weren't willing to pay £10 to watch N.L. racing. Shame as I really enjoyed the evening.
  19. If at almost 73 I can manage to drive from Leicester, watch the meeting including second half, and then drive back again all without the need to visit the loo why do the track staff need to go anyway?
  20. Great result for the Storm. All scored well apart from Richard Franklyn.
  21. This being my other half's opinion. He did nothing but moan at the recent Mildenhall v Storm meeting because they didn't start on time and then there were quite a lot of falls with subsequent delays. I think I'm much better off just taking the dog as she's a lot better company.
  22. Would have been better to finish at 8 because it was all over by then anyway - the rest was just painful like watching a wounded animal without putting it out of it's misery. However, to be fair I must say that meetings this season have really been speeded up at Brandon so they have taken notice of what fans have been saying. No pits gate opening after a false start and riders straight back to the tapes.
  23. No good asking riders as they will just say what the management/fans want to hear. Never know what is round the corner and they may ride for the Lions one day so best not to upset the apple cart. I do wonder what Jason Crump really thought though as I think he was one of the first to try the new track out.
  24. Me too. Just popped in here to get away from all the moaning and whingeing on the Coventry threads but it's even more depressing in here.
