Wantin A Team Place James Cockle

Perhaps he can spend some time sitting on the loo and contemplating where he's going wrong and without being filmed this time. -
No news?

Cheapest Speedway Admission In Premier
Gemini replied to oldtimer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I appreciate the fact there will no doubt be a few more meetings at Leicester but that price does seem excessive. A season ticket for Elite League racing at Coventry is £250. 00p, including a reserved seat in the grandstand (if requested) and a free programme. -
Yes, I did. I'm that used to people saying how expensive speedway is compared to other forms of motorcycle racing I was beginning to believe them.
-
I thought MotorX riders had to pay to compete and earn practically nothing in return?
-
Was that David? He just can't give up on Cycle Speedway can he.

Nice and friendly in here isn't it?

Cycle Speedway

Shame I stop my Sky Sports package as soon as the speedway season is over. -
Disappointing. Just when I was thinking how good it was that the team manager is keeping fans informed of what's going on you say that. The Coventry promotion have their critics but one of the best things about last season was team manager Blayne Scroggins reviewing every match on Facebook and answering questions. Bees fans may rave about Colin Pratt and Alun Rossiter but I can't remember them ever interacting with the fans like that so it was very much appreciated. Hope you will just ignore the 'taking the mickey' type posts and carry on Glyn. although you will have to develop a sense of humour because I haven't really seen anything too bad yet to warrant you giving up on this topic.

Midland Development League Agm

Brilliant. Can't wait for next season watching E.L. at Brandon, MDL in the 2nd half, plus National League on G.P. Friday's. Some tracks may not give value for money but Coventry certainly do. Variety is the spice of life.....or something like that. -
Thank you. As soon as I have your address I will post it. Hopefully Leicester will be in the E.L. next season. I will be on to my third wedding ring when I get it, but I suppose that's not bad in 46 years. Trouble is arthritis in my fingers and it took me ages to remove the ring over my knuckles. I thought I was going to have to get the secateurs out.
-
Have you managed to get the book yet? If not I will make the ultimate sacrifice and let you have mine 'cos I'm saving up for a new wedding ring. What do you reckon - £10 plus postage?

Cycle Speedway

Really disappointing that Leicester have dropped out of the Elite League. Can't believe it really because they have a long history of being very successful. What is the reason do you know? Presumably not enough top riders? It was also sad to see the veteran riders not watching the sport any more - at least not on the occasions I've been to Slater Street. -
And quite a lot of money as well.
-
It hasn't applied for the last two seasons unfortunately but at Coventry Chris normally started slowly then got better as the season went on. By June/July he was really flying and was in top form at the end so why instead of getting new equipment didn't he wrap those bikes up in cotton wool over the Winter and start using the same ones that were flying again in March? It's always puzzled me.
-
Obviously she doesn't want him to be then, whereas I'm just confused who I want to stay.
-
Why are you liking that mdmc82? Chris clearing out his work shop means.......
-
I never know anything. The MotorX is actually on the 1st not the 2nd but why would it affect the speedway practice a week later? They didn't take a week to put everything in place so surely it wouldn't take more than a day to remove the obstacles again? There are enough strapping lads around. We seem to be going round in circles, but then we are speedway fans so it's understandable. I agree it doesn't matter when the track is done but it needs Glyn to be here so what date is he returning to Australia?
-
Isn't Glyn involved with the track changes? If so it matters if he's gone back to Australia.
-
Yes, afraid so. I've got a sense of humour....might be a bit warped but I've got one thank goodness.
-
I bet you are. It's going to be very difficult for me though. If Leicester join the E.L. and also alter their track I will probably start going to Beaumont Park again. I'll have quite a decision to make as to which scarf to wear for a Leicester v Coventry match. Not necessarily because it will mean the present E.L. promoters losing a portion of their Sky money so some might not be so keen.
-
I'm sure it does. I fully expect Ryan to be at Leicester next season but it's a shame the news was probably released a bit earlier than the boss wanted.
-
Or indeed a team manager who says something on the radio that isn't true either. Terrible.
-
Not really because those teams will be local derbies - Coventry, Wolverhampton, Birmingham......and I'd better include Peterborough this time. I don't think any Leicester fan would get sick of seeing Lions v Bees either. Incidentally Coventry only met Poole once on April 9th and that would have been the only time all season if both clubs hadn't met in the K.O. Cup Final at the end of October.
