  1. Sub was brought into it because you were complaining the thread was turning into a slag off Subedei one and I responded. (Not that I said anything about him in the first place because he's invisible to me and very nice it is too.) I'm sure it's quite possible to have a reasoned discussion with you. What would you like to discuss?
  2. I think the 8,000 figure might be referring to the Grand Prix held at Coventry before the switch to the Millenium Stadium.
  3. How can anyone have a reasoned discussion with Subedei when he thinks anyone who sticks up for Scott is deluded? He's made his mind up we're apparently all stupid but goes on and on himself about why Scott is a beggar and other derogatory comments Then because he gets a few posts deleted he starts up his own forum where he can slag off Nicholls to his heart's content with no censorship. The point is it's boring and repetitive. We've got the message loud and clear and have done for the past 12/15 months. Look at one of his posts about Scott and it is the same as the previous hundred or so and that's just on this forum. Some of us might be deluded but his comments are boring. I know what I'd rather be.
  4. And yet again you turn up to defend him. What about all the slag off Nicholls posts that he's made? I suppose that's okay because Scott wouldn't lower himself to reply. It must be pretty boring in the weird world of Subedei that he has to repeatedly keep stirring things up on here to get some attention.
  5. I'd back you up as well C.C., but I don't bother reading his posts any more as I got cheesed off with the same things being said over and over again. Tedious and boring. The ignore list comes in very handy sometimes.
  6. So you would prefer to listen to Tony Millard? Now there's a first.
  7. Steve Shovlar might be added to your list as well. (Although he's been very quiet lately; I think he's on holiday.)
  8. Welcome to the forum Colin. You will get used to Saint Rob's strange posts.
  9. According to referee Tony Steele that's not correct and it doesn't have to be 1st bend bunching; a race can be re-run after the riders have gone by the first bend. However, perhaps the rules have changed since the 80's? It would be interesting to know what the actual rule says because everyone seems to be under the impression that someone has to be excluded.....apart from Tony Steele that is.
  10. Glad you had a good time. What a G.P. to pick for your first one! You can normally book Cardiff tickets in August each year so unless things change they should be out any time within the next couple of weeks. See here..... http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=35874
  11. Probably won't have to wait that long for the Cardiff date. I normally get my tickets in August each year so we should know sometime this month.....hopefully.
  12. R.I.P. Igor. Very sad to hear this news as he was one of the all time great Russian riders. Last saw Igor at Coventry in 2003 when he was over in this country. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1250976834047007148KpPetX
  13. Well I hope they don't! At the first flash of red Scott might pull up. ..
  14. I'd like to have seen the draw. Sky should have filmed this and shown it before the meeting started to prove it's all above board.
  15. Oh god. Have Poole already snapped him up? Brilliant prospect and I was very impressed with his riding. He looks to be even better than Rory Schlein.....and I can say that because Sandie is away at the moment.
  16. Hope it's Nigel and I don't care how often he bangs on about different tracks or who rides for who as someone new to speedway might just be watching. I also liked Georgie Thompson, although I had never heard of her before. I didn't find her voice irritating at all like some apparently and I am very particular about voices.....that's why I don't like listening to a Cockney. (That will get Norbold on here!) I thought she sounded a bit like Julia Bradbury when she used to present speedway on channel 4.
  17. No need to post really because that says it all for me...except the bit about your pocket. Anyone but the Danes will do for me, but of course hoping for Team G.B.
  18. And I bet the Collins brothers were at the head of the queue. Wasn't this the meeting where they tried to team ride to keep Carter behind in one race but he passed both of them? Pity there aren't more English riders around now like Kenny, willing to get stuck in on a wet track. Most these days take one look and give up before they start. Edit....you've just answered my question SuzieQ. Posted at same time. Ah....that explains where that whinger Chris gets it from whenever the track is a bit wet.
  19. I reckon you need a break from speedway if you thought it was boring tonight. Some brilliant racing for the majority of the time and only a very few heats were processional. Let's hope it is as good on Saturday. COME ON ENGLAND.
  20. I want Team G.B. to win as well but being realistic I don't think there is much chance. I'm with Scott on this one, erring on the negative side, as there's not much point in saying you're going to win when the odds are against it. Say top three and it could mean anything from 1st to 3rd. Here's hoping it will be 1st because I'm delaying our holiday so I can watch the final.
  21. Perhaps he's being realistic? Not much point him saying G.B. will win as they haven't a cat in hell's chance and I'm sure he knows that.
  22. It would only have come through as a Ford and the registration number because that's all I wrote down, thinking I would remember the model. I know it began with the letter T and had an X at the end. Looks like I will be searching the internet tomorrow for all models of Ford cars. edit..... I've just had a quick look and the mystery is solved. It was a Titanium X. Nice car - daft driver leaving the window open.
  23. Bit strange that Sky started at 7pm but the parade wasn't due to begin until 7.30pm. No wonder it ran over.
  24. Task for today - write out 1,000 lines. I must not be such a pessimist. Must admit Mr Shovlar and I were wrong (and others) but I'm quite happy to have been proved wrong and there was a brilliant crowd. Serves me right for leaving Leicester at my usual time for a league match so the car park was pretty chaotic when I eventually arrived at 6.50pm. The queue to get in was horrendous but after failing to get in at my usual entrance (because Molly freaks out at turnstiles) I walked straight up to buy a ticket without joining the long queue. There was just one man in front of me. Heaven knows why others weren't going through this section and I fully expected to be pounced on for jumping the queue but nothing happened. Strange. Just one thing that's bugging me at the moment - does anyone know the name of a Ford car beginning with T? I noticed this one had the driver's window half down so reported it to the office and it was later mentioned over the tannoy. I wrote the number plate down but thought I would remember what the car was. By the time I had got into the stadium I had completely forgotten. Nice car, probably a 2 litre and had an X at the end of the model name.
  25. Is that where he currently works? If so it speaks for itself as I've never heard so many moans about the Belle Vue track as this year. Who's idea was it to bring him back to Coventry?
