How about March of the Gladiators then? I don't know the tune myself but an ex-Leicester fan suggested it.
-
You can pay on the day but there will probably only be the upper tier left I should think.
-
Oh. It's back to the drawing board then.
-
Oh yes they can! I thought we had decided it was Imperial Echos.

Is that all - just the one season? I didn't realise that as he is one of the riders I remember from the old Hunters days. I have an old black/white photo of Harry with a battered old van and his speedway bike, taken en route somewhere. Must have been when he was riding for Leicester so I'll have to look for it in my 1962 album.

That's strange. It's mine too. I like this BOBBATH chappie. He keeps starting threads about old riders and bringing back so many memories. Bryan Elliott - he was another one of my favourites, along with Joe Bowkis, Johnnie Carpenter, Len Williams etc. Bryan Elliott does indeed reside in Australia but his sister was at the Leicester reunion in 2004. Edit..... BOBBATH....you aren't the person who bought my 1949 Leicester badge last year (on ebay) were you because it went to Canada? I was sad to let it go - and other items - but needed the money for the dog's vet bills. She's still going strong on daily glucosamine tablets.

Upper level would be much better than the lower, judging by comments on here over the past few years.

Ah! Memories of my teenage years when Charlie Barsby was one of my favourite riders. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1243465626047007148JrcJjB Charlie was certainly alive and kicking at a Leicester reunion in November 2004 when he was 75 years old. He looked very well so I'm sure he is still around. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1450617580047007148MjXmrK http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2302022320047007148dpBjyP

Not forgetting ex-riders. Alan Cowland was at a Leicester reunion in November 2004 and I took this photo of him talking to Bruce Forrester & his wife Linda. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1446728259047007148oFaGgR Sadly a couple of months afterwards he committed suicide.

Obviously his new image doesn't extend to personal hygene yet. Some things never change. Well done Nicki on another brilliant G.P.
-
Didn't Ole have anything to do with the track preparation this time?
-
That makes sense. I just hope they use better glue on the envelopes this year though.
-
Hi Bee. Hope you are well. See you sometime in 2007 or 8.

Scott Nicholls In The Gps

You'll be lucky. He just goes on and on like a stuck record but it's lovely and quiet since I put him on my ignore list. -
That will be gone when you get back.

Can't help with an aerial view but have two or three photos of Boston on my webshots album 3. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1250970303047007148MmaWOj

If you don't get fixed up with a hotel isn't getting a coach to Cardiff an option? Most tracks seem to run at least one.
-
I think he means soaking. Coventry fans seem to be attracted to water and will probably be carrying around their own supply just in case it's needed.

I sincerely hope you're right. The only problem with Chris is his gating and against the top riders in the World it might prove to be too much of a handicap. He is a fighter though so he should add some excitement to this season's G.P's. -
Thank you. I just wondered because I always thought it was the V.S.R.A., but obviously that must be something different.....and yes I know what the V stands for.

What does the W stand for?

Not as confused as me Schumi! I thought I'd had a senior moment and done it without knowing. Me give ammunition to set Subedei off again? Not likely! Mind you it doesn't really matter now because I don't get to see what he's written any more. Well, I had to do something because at the annual doctor's review last week my blood pressure had risen quite a lot since the last check. So I'm cutting down on all the things that make me stressed......repetition being top of the list 'cos that's one of my pet hates. No good asking me either. I can't remember things that happened more than 12 hours ago. I have an idea the original quote came from PTW & was on the Coventry thread but of course it will have been removed now so take your pick. -
Oh please!! You'll only set him off again with a boring vendetta against another Coventry rider. To answer your question - ask again in September. By then we will have a better idea.
-
Hope your Dad doesn't see this as he won't be happy with Incase as one word. Sorry!

Best Places To Meet Up In Cardiff ?
Gemini replied to Chris-P's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Congratulations! It's a shame the Sheffield training track has shut down because you could have had a go at Speedway without buying a bike and all the stuff. Ray and our son Paul both went for a couple of days a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
