  1. As so many envelopes have been arriving opened don't you think emails should be sent to the people who send the tickets out? They are probably blissfully unaware of any problems. Sounds like the tickets have arrived okay but if the envelopes were open they could quite easily have been mislaid in the post and lost.
  2. Would you knowing where glue comes from? To be honest I can't see them using this type of envelope for thousands of people; I'm pretty sure they would be the automatic seal sort but someone is getting too cheesed off after the first 1,000 to press down hard. Saying that, mine came okay fully sealed with no problems.
  3. There is even some chap on here claiming to be Steve Hone who rode in the 80's.
  4. Just for Shazzy. I had an email this morning and ours have been posted.
  5. So H won't be far behind then? I hope to receive ours next week so I can stop panicking they will arrive when we are on holiday.
  6. Well, I don't agree with the protest anyway. If someone doesn't want to pay the inflated prices then the least they can do is cancel early and give someone else a chance of the room/s. Afraid it's just a fact of life - if there is a demand prices will go up. Same with holidays when the schools break up. I just hope it's not going to cost your Mum £10 each way getting to and from Bristol to Cardiff!
  7. If you don't mind paying the Travel Inn prices it sounds like some fans are going to leave it until the last moment to cancel their rooms as a protest against the price increase. Perhaps they'll let you know.
  8. I've just remembered..... so is Krissie. I'd better watch what I'm saying.
  9. I presume the 2006 presenter has been decided then? Who is it?
  10. Good reply! That one line non-negotiable offer would have got my back up as well. The very cheapest seats are £29 each and you are offering much dearer and better ones. But that's blunt Yorkshire people for you. If I was you I'd try the other option suggested of giving the ticket office a call.
  11. Is that all? I'm sure you could find plenty more if you tried. Pretty boring G.P., apart from the last few races. Shame the chap across the road to me, who is not a speedway fan, decided to go because he enjoyed Cardiff so much last year.
  12. Thanks very much for the directions. You have confirmed we need junction 32 which I am pretty sure we have always used before, although the AA Route says to get off at junction 29 and pick up the A470 a bit further up (or down!). If we do have time to get to Newport I am determined this year that we don't go by mistake into the retail park, which we've done pretty much every time so far. All my husband's fault of course because he does the navigating.
  13. Thanks Old Saint and 2ndBender. If Cardiff is in South Glamorgan then what you've said is correct. The full address is Gwaelod-y-Garth, Cardiff. I don't think it can be too far from Cathedral Road or I wouldn't have booked it - perhaps 5 - 7 miles? It says on the description "We are equidistant (Yes, I know what it means now as I've just looked it up!) between the Radyr/Taffs Well turn off and the Upper Boat turn-off - on the opposite side of the valley from Taff Well." I fully expect us to get completely lost once we get off the M4, hence my doubt that we will be going to Newport this year.
  14. She will be staying at Gedrys Farm Boarding Kennels & Cattery at Gwaelod-Y-Garth. I've done it all on the internet so I'm hoping it's a nice place as I have never put any of my dogs in kennels before. Jemma has always stayed in the hotel with us in Cathedral Road and the plan was to leave Molly at home with my daughter, but since the G.P. was moved forward a week we will already be on holiday in North Wales so she will be with us.
  15. Newport and Somerset have meetings prior to the Grand Prix. We normally go to Newport, but I don't know if we'll manage it this year because we've got to get from North Wales to South Wales (215 miles apparently) and then find the Boarding Kennels where Molly will be staying for the weekend before they shut at 6pm.
  16. Good. Hope you enjoy your first visit to Cardiff. I'm sure you will find it an amazing experience.
  17. Is this any help? http://www.seetickets.com/see/location.asp...09&pricetype=8&
  18. Yes, it's been on the forum already Ian - 24th March. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=25142 Didn't seem to have been much of a discussion about it though. I'm sure there was more than that but heaven knows where it is.
  19. Thanks Rob. Just wondering now if I stick "Norbold's Hole" into google whether it will be able to resurrect the thread we have been looking for recently. Actually thinking about it I think I'll pass on that as who knows what sort of topic it would bring up.
  20. N4 as last year and hopefully sitting near the same people.
  21. Certainly do. Suffice to say that even the Coventry fans in our group didn't agree with that move on Mark. Terrible.
  22. Don't worry - I doubt if anyone has received their tickets yet. They are not usually sent until a few weeks before the event. Start panicking on June 2nd.

    65 - 13

I saw Long Eaton beat Middlesborough 65 - 0. Great meeting watching two riders go round in each race.
  24. If you have to ask then she can't look like Katherine Tate. I was referring to Tracy on the left. Now is that Tracy's Mum or your Mum on the right?
  25. Great photos Steve. I was surprised to see Martin Rogers. Does he come over from Australia every year? By the way surely this is Katherine Tate? http://community.webshots.com/photo/548269...046933380GuDfzj
