  1. Steve don't worry about the points just sit back and enjoy his brilliant style of riding as it is a joy to behold. He was my favourite rider to watch when he rode for the young Coventry side so I envy you being able to see him every week.
  2. Why is it a 'band of idiots'? You said you don't come on here to be popular and he replied that 'it's working'. Have you got no sense of humour at all? Actually don't bother answering because I already know.
  3. I'm sure it would especially if the stadium is no longer suitable to stage motor speedway but is more or less already derelict. I think Sandhu knows exactly what he's doing and is in some way involved with Brandon Estates. I just wish I could be as optimistic as some on here but sadly I'm not.
  4. Was that to do with the relative who owed thousands of pounds in tax or something? Sandhu had always said he owned all the stadium but that was yet another lie as this relative 'allegedly' owned half of it and the money was needed to pay back what he owed otherwise he'd end up in prison.
  5. That's what I was thinking too. Hopefully once Christmas and the New Year is out of the way we can all be put out of our misery so we don't have to endure more months of uncertainty. It just doesn't make sense to have stripped the stadium and done a lot of damage doing it only to say it will all be put back again. Yeah right.
  6. Using that logic the Leicester track should have been brilliant from the first meeting. I wonder what went wrong.
  7. Yes, I feel sorry for the Coventry riders as all this doubt about 2017 affects them even more than the fans. Let's hope something is sorted out in January so we know one way or the other and we don't have to wait until the March health and safety inspection.........if it ever gets that far.
  8. Yes, precisely but you've hit the nail on the head as it's too simple.
  9. "First off when Sandhu purchased the site the business was bankrupt, Ochiltree did not own it he was effectively a manager and the site was costing the London owners money. It was sold as a development site not as a going concern because it was not a going concern. He invested £1m into the site and has allowed as a result a further 15 years use for the two sports. He has not yet had a return on that capital but he is still committed to the sports and frankly is the only person who has no other motive than seeing the sports have a long term future home. Others are trying to either get the houses built quicker or trying to inherit things that Sandhu has bought or cash in on his reputation. One thing is for certain we will be running Stox next year and we hope it will be at Brandon if not we have a plan B which really should be plan A but we have a lot of loyalty to the Coventry site. So trust or don't trust that is for you to decide but nobody on our side is getting rich out of the current situation which is driven by greed from others and that will no doubt become more apparent as the truth always comes out in the end." So how does this fit into the scheme of things? It's hard to know who to believe. If 'others' are trying to get houses built quicker Sandhu has given them a big helping hand by the extra damage caused when removing his assets.
  10. Brilliant news. At least I'll definitely have one track to attend now.
  11. Yes, I can see the queue of protesting riders now.....Davey Watt, Troy Batchelor, Rory Schlein. Purely coincidence that they are all Aussies.
  12. Now there's an idea that could make Speedway more interesting.
  13. Thank you and I know you have gone through more trauma than me so you know what it is like. I'm doing okay now thanks after going through a period where it seemed like it was one step forward, two back and hurting in places that weren't painful before.
  14. Which is probably why he's gone missing again from this topic.
  15. So true. In fact I wonder how some of them ever ride again and I don't enjoy watching them race as I'm always worried about them having another crash. I've only broken my hip but I know for the rest of my life I'm going to be scared of falling over as it's been so traumatic and I don't ever want to go through this again. Speedway riders have my deepest respect.
  16. Back in a few more hours after he's got to the end of searching all his old videos for lack of gardening. I'm not going to bother checking but I've been going for 65 plus years and there has always been messing about at the start, in fact it used to be a lot worse when riders were continually pushing the tapes backwards and forwards in an effort to get a good start.
  17. Oh well that's a change from seeing April news. Someone commented they weren't worried about this as the website is still there. Now it's not so I wonder if they're getting a little more concerned?
  18. Just the one though as the other is definitely crystal.
  19. That's good news. They're probably in no particular hurry to announce any riders until they know what is happening at Coventry.
  20. Perhaps it had something to do with City Gearboxes ending their sponsorship of The Storm, which was her husband's company I think? Or perhaps she had a crystal ball and could see all the troubles ahead for the stadium. Chris Harris must have had one too.
  21. Lorraine isn't running it any more so it won't be open. All the items have been removed but I don't know if she plans to sell them elsewhere. All credit to her and the team of helpers as she worked wonders in there and turned it into the best track shop out of all the leagues.
  22. Did I? I haven't the foggiest actually. I was just talking with a friend about Football, Speedway and Rugby yesterday as she is a keen sports fan so I wanted to try to look intelligent. I couldn't believe that Bournemouth were in the same league as Leicester, which I presume is the top one as they were champions last season. It just didn't seem right ~ no disrespect to Bournemouth ~ and I hope they continue to do well.
  23. It will though eventually won't it so everything is going according to plan so far. 250 houses wasn't it? I'm sure they'll be more than happy at the thought of all that council tax.
  24. You could be right there judging by the latest news. What else can you see in your crystal ball?
  25. I don't know what that means but it looks to me like the cunning plan is working.
