  1. And why would that be do you think? Perhaps because Sandhu and/or his family are Brandon Estates. Mick Horton is offered the lease....supposedly......Sandhu causes as much mayhem as he can making it impossible to accept. Job done. What's really also diabolical in all this is the complete silence from the Coventry promoters leaving loyal fans not knowing what's going on. Worse decision ever to treat us like this whether things are 'delicate' or not. Totally peed off.
  2. Bet it was a bloody Aussie. They are always whingeing about something.
  3. Yes music does make a monumental difference ~ it's bloody annoying in a quiz show. Why does Eggheads for instance need background music when there is always someone talking. Personally I'd give you the sack because you're not needed ~ a bit like all your old people at Speedway matches.
  4. Probably because the majority of Bees fans have lost the will to live now.
  5. No of course they don't. If Sandhu and/or his family are involved with Brandon Estates the last thing they want is to let the stadium be up and running again so obviously the answer is to keep Sandhu out......or am I being too cynical and suspicious?
  6. Try being a Coventry supporter. It must be nice to support Wolves/Somerset/Poole etc. at the moment.
  7. I don't think it's that simple. It would be easy for me as I live in Leicester anyway but a lot of the Coventry supporters would find it difficult to get here on a Friday night as they live the far side of Coventry or in other places altogether ~ Stratford-on-Avon, Rugby etc. and we all know what the traffic is like on a Friday. Perhaps it could work if the Lions rode on Friday's and Coventry on Saturday's but I still think the attendance would be poor for any Bees matches. I doubt it will happen anyway.
  8. Even I know who he is and I don't usually know anything. Perhaps the more 'interesting' ones weren't allowed to be aired?
  9. Can't remember you ever apologising for being wrong but feel free to list all the topics where you have. I'll have a few hours to spare tomorrow to go through them all after I've put the shopping away.
  10. For heaven's sake don't start him off again. All it is at the moment is yet another rumour and I'm more inclined to believe that it will only be Leicester riding at Beaumont Park but probably with a few of the Coventry riders. I'm sure we'll get an actual statement eventually. Wake me up when we do as I'm bored stiff. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  11. Here comes the paranoia again. Would you care to list the Poole fans who have been banned? So do I. Jeremy Heaver is still doing it on Facebook today. Wouldn't it be nice if we could believe a word he says.
  12. Or there is another possibility of course. Sandhu and Brandon Estates are one and the same, there is no police investigation and it's all been perfectly planned to get the Speedway out, leave the place derelict ~ it's not that far off now ~ and eventually get planning permission. They've waited for years so a few more won't make much difference. The council thinking of all the tax they will get from a housing estate have second thoughts now the stadium isn't being used and planning gets the go ahead. The End.
  13. Obviously Starman hasn't or he wouldn't keep banging on about Coventry using the Beaumont Park track. Can someone else tell him because I've lost what patience I had, which wasn't much in the first place.
  14. How many more times! It doesn't matter how many times you repeat it 99% of Leicester fans do not want Coventry riding there and 99% of Coventry fans don't want to go there. Ground share does NOT work and the attendance would be abysmal.
  15. They wouldn't. Coventry would be finished at Brandon and Leicester would probably use a few of their riders, which would be an improvement on some of the teams they've had over the last few years. Anyone who wanted to watch some speedway after Brandon's demise would just have to go to their nearest track. In my case it would be Leicester but in others probably Birmingham or Wolverhampton.
  16. Liontamer didn't seem very impressed when I named that team a few days ago. Well, I suppose I'm lucky because I live in Leicester so I can go every week. So a full turn around for me ~ Leicester fan from 1949 to 1983 then Coventry fan from 1984 to 2016. Back to Leicester in 2017. Are you still being optimistic? I gave that up months ago.
  17. I'm not so sure about that because Friday is notoriously bad travelling anywhere. I still think Saturday might be the preferred option but I suppose we will find out shortly when the Coventry saga is over.
  18. It's looking that way. They'll be okay if you eat them straightaway though.
  19. Me sceptical? I know how much you admire Sandhu. It would be good to confirm it though in view of the fact others have heard a different story,
  20. I've read that article before but there's nothing in it to confirm your comments that the Ochiltrees didn't want to leave or that he drove them out....unless you can find the other part where is says that. He willingly admits he bought the stadium with the intention of bulldozing it and building houses on the 25-acre site. "I wanted it for housing, and to start with my offer was turned down even though I outbid everyone else," he explained. "The site was offered to an ex-speedway rider but that deal fell through, and they came back to me. I then bought it at a lower price than I first offered. "I knew it was going to be a long hard battle for planning permission for houses and in the end I wasn't prepared for that, so we decided to keep the speedway and stock-cars and explore introducing other sports at the stadium. Anyway Lucy is all ready for the season to start and is extremely happy with her new coat........I think. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155693285642785&set=a.10150784554067785.494859.550797784&type=3&theater
  21. Okay fair enough and I realise now how it could involve 3 leagues. I don't have that problem these days but in the past we have booked a week's holiday in Dorset when the Bees were riding there and the fixture then got moved to another week so after that I just took pot luck. I don't think I'll even get the chance somehow but I've got Anne Widdecombe on standby just in case. Sorry that's not allowed any more unless Steve Shovlar can smuggle his camera in. I know you have always said this so you must have read the article somewhere. Can you post the link as it sounds interesting.
