There's something strange about people liking their own post, although perhaps understandable because they're the only one who will.

Well, I hope but I don't believe. Do you really think fans would bother to attend open meetings just because it is Speedway? I hope you are right but personally I wouldn't drive up the M69 to watch Greg Hancock in a meeting that doesn't really mean anything. It's league racing only for me.
-
Why do you bother to respond Steve as it just carries things on? He's only doing it because he knows that's what you will do but it is totally boring for the rest of us and nothing at all to do with Poole who neither of you support.
-
Of course he/she is as it has made the same remarks before. Unfortunately it is still bitter about the closure of Blackbird Road 33 years ago which it blames on the Coventry promotion so wants the same thing to happen to them. No point in repeating it was Midland Sports Stadiums decision and Charles Ochiltree was only one of the directors involved, plus nothing at all to do with any Coventry promoters since then. Sad really.
-
Yes I agree but then you'd have some fans moaning about the drop in quality riders again and refusing to attend because there aren't many so called top stars riding over here. Personally I couldn't care less not being able to watch Hancock, Pedersen, Woffinden etc., but others feel deprived so you'll never please everyone.
-
So would you say changing from a Friday to a Wednesday had any affect on the attendance at the new stadium or was it about the same?
-
As long as it's not Stevebum I don't think he'll be too bothered.
-
Chill Lisa. That made me laugh Kev. Another one who should take a chill pill. Steve is an expert at winding people up on here so I don't think he'll be too bothered about a few retaliations. Happy New Year everyone, including the Poole fans.

In that case may I put forward the name of Mick Horton ~ one of the finest.
-
That wasn't a reply about general internet/social media presence. It was a party political broadcast on behalf of Matt Ford.
-
Amazing. Mind you the topic title doesn't really hold much interest to a Coventry fan like me because I don't even know if we will have a track never mind what the admission price will be. I was going to get a season ticket for next season too so it would be easier to get in with a dog, bag, chair and probably crutches too the way I'm going.
-
Let us know when he's got a main sponsor then. Anyway most of us don't like Matt Ford or Poole on here so shove off.
-
Are you James Sarjeant? If that criteria was brought in ~ and I agree with your post ~ then James would be getting a few maximums instead of being called back every time he makes a good start.
-
Friday's and the Coventry team? Okay....I'm being pessimistic again but I really can't see Brandon being used again. Hope I'm wrong.
-
Well, it was going okay until all the lights went out. The only other thing I can remember about the match is it was one of the best of the season and my two friends from Kings Lynn who I was standing with enjoyed it very much.
-
I think it was 1982 as I've got the video somewhere. 'And cheekily splashing him into the bargain' (or something like that.) Was really funny anyway.

There may be plans to introduce Stock Car Racing so don't raise your hopes up of no spanners yet. That sport used to be held regularly at Blackbird Road as you know but I'm not sure if it would be allowed at Beaumont Park. It's one way to increase use of the stadium though being as nothing else seems to be happening.
-
If that's the case why have fans been complaining about the Kings Lynn track which seems to be full of stones.....and the odd spanner.....and saying it's not as good as it used to be?

I think Leicester had the most children attending matches than I've seen anywhere else so Saturday's must be a good night for parents to take them, but I'm prepared to be bombarded with statistics from other members whose team races midweek. I know some parents would consider their children staying up late with school the next day but I'd say there are a lot more who wouldn't when you also take into account how long some matches drag on. Not only that but 235 spaces in the car park usually means parking near the shopping centre so half a mile walk back there, plus the journey home means a very late night. (Okay I might be exaggerating that it's half a mile but it feels like it to me.)
-
Probably one of the very few correct decisions he made as Friday/Saturday/Sunday are the best days to run Speedway meetings. I think they are hanging on to see what happens at Coventry and will then pick Friday as the race night, along with a few of the riders as well. I just hope we are put out of our misery soon and all this indecision about Brandon doesn't drag on for a few more months.
-
Going off topic but I was wondering who this 'Jack Keen' is who has never made a contribution but usually likes the posts Gustix makes?
-
SCB is never wrong.
-
Means nothing really. Coventry have named their 7 riders for 2017 but it still doesn't 100% guarantee they'll be at the tapes on the Brandon track in March.
-
Me neither as I don't like individual meetings, although I did go to the Chris Harris one as he had ridden for Coventry for so long so deserved a good crowd for his testimonial.

Even though it's breaking forum rules? You surprise me you naughty person. Please do not post in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS; this is the Internet version of shouting, and is irritating to many posters.
