  1. You have obviously not read about Leicester's attempts to run double headers this season? It will probably be a miracle if the 2 Cubs matches are completed.
  2. I don't think it is anything to do with that. Leicester fans have never seemed interested in starting threads about matches on here and there aren't many who are members anyway. Good luck to both teams and I'm wondering if Lions might regret having picked Redcar rather than Somerset at the end of the 2 matches. . Broc Nicol should do fine at Leicester and won't have to worry about being on the track with that mad sod Josh Bates this time.
  3. Best to leave yourself logged in.....once you are in that is?
  4. I am neither needy nor insecure and don't post what I had for tea so your perception is wrong for the majority of people. Love Facebook and a lot of the groups are great ~ umpteen Speedway ones, Border Collies, German Shepherds etc. It's also a good way to keep in touch with relatives and friends who live miles away so you rarely see them.
  5. Okay fair enough. I just get fed up with the continual negative posts about speedway from gustix who probably last went to a meeting in the 1930's. We all know the sport has lost umpteen tracks over the years and I notice he has changed the wording on the original post, which is what I saw 9 hours ago and you probably didn't, so it now reads completely differently to what it did before and what I based my comment on.
  6. Oh great ~ just what we needed ~ another negative topic. Why don't you have a cup of tea and then take a walk outside in the sunshine, listen to the birds singing and relax.
  7. Poole did that with Coventry in 2010 and look what happened there.
  8. Any chance of me getting a reply as to who on Facebook I am supposed to have 'ganged up on' because that's a pretty upsetting thing to be accused of. PM if you like.
  9. Where on earth do you get your ideas from? I really think you have the wrong person on Facebook as I mostly only post nature photos of my daily trips round our local nature reserve or my 2 dogs. I just don't understand why you are being so horrible. Your sense of humour has obviously gone as well because 'menopause' was a joke and I'm afraid I sailed through mine many years ago.
  10. Plodding on thank you. Not easy living with someone with dementia so it's nice to come on here for a bit of relaxation and read all the nice comments and mingle with happy people.
  11. Dont know what I have done to deserve that remark and no history as far as I know. We are even friends on Facebook. Strange but its perhaps because I used to be a Coventry fan and hate Poole.
  12. Gee thanks. Where have I said I condone bullying? I was responding to Steve Shovlars post because the last time I checked this is a forum for opinions and that is mine. Starman is always dishing out insults so he should expect some back. If he gets so wound up by Gavan just sticking him on ignore would be the sensible thing to do.
  13. Well, perhaps he should think before he posts what he does. Never seems to comment on any matches or join in discussions just insults anyone who dares to mention Poole in less than glowing terms. Deserves all he gets back.
  14. Wish I'd picked Newcastle now as I can spell that. So presumably Middlesbrough? The English language is so difficult I'm surprised anyone can learn it. I mean why is it Loughborough not Loughbrough then, which is not far from us and why on earth is Leicester spelt like that. What's wrong with Lester?
  15. Try the one who is a Speedway fan and lives in Swindon. Black/White photo ~ dodgy haircut ~ glasses. Member of the Swindon Robins Supporters Group.
  16. If we are including whole matches then I seem to remember going over to Long Eaton when the visiting team refused to ride so the Long Eaton riders got 5-0's in every race. I think the other team was Middlesborough.
  17. You're not wrong as that's exactly what happened. One by one the riders were excluded leaving Rick Miller to race by himself but he was deemed not to have been making a bona fide attempt to race so was excluded. Referee was my friend Geoff Dalby and he went down in my estimation that day.
  18. Are they different now? Haven't been to a GP since I got Lucy in 2010.
  19. Are you going to the British GP in Cardiff? If so prepare to be deafened. Air horns are great and help to create atmosphere but some tracks don't allow them. You sound nice and conscientious so as long as you are pointing it upwards and not in someone's ear I would go ahead. If you gradually find you're standing on your own you will know other fans don't appreciate the noise.
  20. Even with a good track to ride on it's usually the case that N.L. riders are more prone to falling as they are not so experienced so what would happen if it had been the other way around on Saturday and we were hanging around for ages waiting for the match to eventually finish before the more important Lions v Glasgow one could start? And yes I have watched loads of N.L. matches going back to the Cougars and The Storm at Coventry and the Bees riding at Leicester.
  21. Glad I left after the Lions match too as it takes me ages to walk back to the car park and I would only have been able to watch a few NL heats before my 4 hours was up. My first visit back since the long delay during the Redcar match and sadly I can't say I really enjoyed it enough for it to be worth the pain and effort it takes me to get there these days. Pretty much follow the leader racing apart from the last couple of heats, although the score line kept it interesting.
  22. Were they actually leaving or just getting near to the exit ready to run for it as soon as heat 15 finished? I know people do that at Leicester, also Coventry in the past.
  23. Glad I decided to go home after the Lions match and not watch some of the N.L heats., to make sure I didn't go over the 4 hour's allowed in the car park as it takes me ages to walk back. My first visit since the long delay during the Redcar meeting.........don't think I will say anything else except I hope the rider recovers quickly.
  24. It was for me at the time and I'm sure it was for a lot of others as well, including some who were attending for the first time. I haven't been since but now Bates has gone I am going to try to get my interest back again and hope to get there on Saturday, so not exactly the final straw for me.......yet.
