Track looks bumpy and inconsistent, hardly likely to give confidence regardless of who the riders are.
-
We are one rider short of being a decent team. It would also benefit us and Connor Bailey if he found an NDL team to ride more regularly to sharpen up.
-
The thread could be severed this weekend, another performance like we've seen so far will be unforgiveable.
-
He's becoming a liability. Few riders would be shown this much goodwill.

We'll need a 20 point lead at ht10 to be in with a shout.

No one raking the home gates this afternoon?

Belle Vue -V- Wolves (Eurosport)

Indeed, perhaps my expectations were set too high for a single meeting. I'd hoped BV would have done better. An unrestricted crowd next time will also make it better. -

First visit to the NSS, not sure if BV were that bad or Wolves were that good but they were consistently outgated heat after heat in mainly processional racing. You can't win meetings with 5 race winners. I expected more from Bewley and Kurtz who were disappointing. Masters had it easy other than ht15 though Becker looks like he's developing into a great rider. As mentioned above it was very much FTG, not sure i'd rush back if it is always like this. -

Can anyone recommend where is best to park at BV. Website is showing parking passes available for St Peters School but is it necessary to use off street parking? -

Willie Lawson winning races, f**king desperate! Doolan will be raging watching these updates. How long can Summers get away with this before his taxi is phoned. Shows what happens when Leon has an off night. -

F@#£ing weather!!!! -
He doesnt seem to have progressed between now and then. His riding style is too loose and the bike often seems to be controlling him rather than the other way round. He really should have done better against Eastbourne on Friday. JS may also be a victim of Glasgow's weaker middle order thus far. Sedg and Wells will be given time whereas this change to strengthen the team could be made straightaway without any other team changes. Connor Bailey needs to get up to speed quickly. It would help him to find an NDL team.

Glasgow v Eastbourne Friday 26 June 2021 @ 7.30pm
MD replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Glasgow were toiling in the first 10 heats, winning only 4 of them. Their gating was appalling, and made it all the more difficult for themselves. The ht10 break was pivotal, I'm sure words were had in the pits and Glasgow woke up thereafter. Cook was decent, Jensen was immense despite his inexperience and Ully continues to outperform his 6.09 average in contrast to Wells who is becoming a passenger, can't gate, can't chase and has no speed. For Eastbourne Lawson and Kerr were good as always with bits of back up from Brennan and Knight. Eddie Kennett put in a usual Glasgow performance where if he gated he won otherwise he wasnt interested. I had a sneaking suspicion earlier in the week that he might find a reason to be absent, r/r being better than him turning up but fair play. Onward to Berwick tomorrow. -

Two away collapses in a week, not good. Can see another nail coming out of Wells already shoogly peg. Good move by the Scorps to bring in Allen for Auty. Berwick away next Saturday, which team will sh1te it first? -

Aarnio was the innocent victim of Wilson Dean over-riding, his crash was a shocker. Best wishes to him. -
No team has or needs a permanently listed No8 in their declaration. They can cover within the rules.
-
Doesnt seem to work for Redcar on this occasion but it will on others. I agree that bracketing riders into groups doesnt make them equal but these issues were forseen having occured in the graded reserve system in the 2000's.
-
You can't get r/r for a reserve so they have no choice. Remains to be seen what Leon will do but 3 or 4 race wins would be fine.

Berwick v Redcar Saturday 12/06/21 7pm
MD replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
FFS Berwick, three race wins from the main body. Eastbourne in disguise. Someone needs to have a word, Flint & Bickley cant be expected to carry the team every week but if they could all ride the same in a fortnights time that would be great. -
He was pretty good as well, not scared to mix it or run the deep stuff out wide. He was pretty poor on his previous visit with Brum in 2019 so I had minimal expectations before the meeting.
-
Brilliant first match to come back to, smooth entry into the stadium and facemasks not being required increased the whole experience. Couldnt understand why Redcar didnt use a reserve for the r/r ride in ht1 which would have freed up Rowe for ht8. Wright and Allan were good as usual but them aside, Palm Toft was his usual lazy self and Sarj rode like he still had a Tigers race jacket on. He was pretty hard on Danyon Hume in ht12 who put in a good shift for a guest reserve. Ht13 looks like it will be a bit more tricky this season with Wells not keeping pace as the track changes. Lets stick a track around Glasgow Green next time and let everyone come in who wants to. Its an outrage IMO that this nonsense is still continuing.
-
I've noticed Sarj's scores, he's been consistently consistent with some very good scores, not the rider we had. He has the potential to come back and bite us, unfortunately.
-
Updates suggest it was a decent meeting, but another good win on the road to set us up for Redcar tomorrow at home.

Thats a good away win, perhaps helped a little by Heeps r/r but a win nonetheless. The downside is two more riders withdrawn through injury, there have been quite a few injuries so far this year despite there being a relatively small number of meetings.
