  1. Nah, it was going before that. The 3 point reserve for Worky last year is a 3 point reserve for Glasgow this year.
  2. The under current of anti Glasgow sentiment from many Worky fans has been here for about two years. Just we dont see we have done anything to deserve it as there has been no particular flashpoints at meetings between the teams. This current thread is just another to add to the list.
  3. Mainly from the fans of one club in particular. Its almost like we have become a convenient scapegoat for their dire situation, financial or otherwise.
  4. He wont be back whether he signs elsewhere or not, he wont have taken being dropped very well.
  5. Changes are subject to BSPA approval. Press release also says Cook approached Glasgow as not doing enough meetings. Changes were overdue, though IMO Harris should have walked having invested little into his time at Glasgow other than regularly looking down at his unreliable engines when he doesnt gate. There is a high chance he will retire at the end of the season especially with the Rye House situation and thats not likely to be a motivator. Allegedly we werent the only Tigers chasing Grajczonek last month and it was CH that was to go, having never settled at Ashfield. So its a welcome to Nathan Greaves, no easy task to go out with Cook at No2.
  6. Never mind its Glasgow at the end of the month, the track will be back to normal and everyone will be riding like GP stars. Nothing f****** surer!
  7. For once the away team turned up with a tail longer than ours. Warmed up into a decent meeting after a slow start. The Lakeside top three were excellent with Morris awesome in 13 & 15 to take Worrall both times. Barker also took a couple of heats to get going but was absolute entertainment thereafter. Still regret how he could never do that with us 2 years ago. Wonder if he does, he's perfectly suited to Ashfield. Not getting carried away with Sarjeants 12, the Hams had three ineffective riders at the bottom end though it is more positive. Unfortunately its another couple of weeks to our next home meeting.
  8. Not having regular racing each weekend is a massive issue. Makes a mockery of starting our league the third week in March when we could have started over a month later. Last year we had A and B fixtures against each team but the problem on top of too many meetings was you could already see long before the A fixtures were completed who were the strugglers and who were top end material. This year its not enough meetings as well as a poorly planned fixture list for some clubs like Workington. Sometimes wish the clubs in our league would form a breakaway and take control of their own management rather than play second fiddle to the alleged Premiership.
  9. How many times have we said that this year? Should be a good one regardless!
  10. Thats a fair comment, though I would add the Edinburgh home defeat was an absolute sickener and crowds have been noticeably lower from then. Its also the school summer holidays so people may be away. Looking forward to tonight anyway, reckon RL will be superb on his return.
  11. Even going to extra time and penalties the football will be over by 5.45. The BBC have scheduled their coverage to finish at 5.30. The speedway starts at 7. Poor show.
  12. So its Vissing and Starke who'll adequately cover two rides, the same cant be said for the other two. We need a bit of nuance here to crunch the numbers and pull a rabbit out of the hat. Anyone got Dicksons number?
  13. Best wishes to LK, been stellar this season. This should be the catalyst for change, we cant cover with r/r for the remainder of the season.
  14. Think we all know where this season is going. Be delighted if we make play offs and make a fist of it.
  15. Fair comment, we should have shed RW as well and made a clean break of it.
  16. Thats the name of the game, getting value from a riders average then releasing them when they have an unsustainable average. In 2011 we were 30 large in debt due to some proper away wins and were always going to shed that team! The problem I see just now is that you need some continuity from one season to the next, we can't keep shedding everyone come the season end, that doesn't foster any loyalty or connection to the club. Though its almost certainly going to happen this season. Perhaps we could keep Starke or one of Kerr/Vissing but thats it.
  17. Yeah, Dickson left. RW was clearly the favourite.
  18. 7.57 is a bit of a shocker but with us having 11 league matches to complete, with 6 of those on the road ( though 1 at Arma) he should get it down that bit further for you.
  19. The vast majority of Glasgow fans are patient and have got behind all season. At what point do you cut it off.
  20. Just reading Palovaara has signed for the 0131 in place of Garcia. Makes them a whole different prospect. Anyone in at Ashfield Towers. Thats every man and his dog strengthened up bar Scunthorpe, Ipswich and us, and Ippo are actively seeking 2 riders.
  21. The last one is a Sunday 3pm fixture against Edinburgh. Not good.
  22. Thats a decent return for Harris, and why he needs replaced.
