If we had transparency from the pathetic body that governs UK speedway we would know that. Perhaps Berge made a statement to the BSPA saying he was pushed, perhaps there was another reason from Berge we are not aware of. However in the absence of any public communication from the BSPA we are left to speculate. The paranoid would say its just because its Glasgow, others would say it is to protect other PL clubs, we just don't and will never know. Bearing in mind we are already a man down with Howe injured it does seem like we are being completely shafted in reducing the standard 28 day facility to 14 days. As it is we have 6 days left!

What evidence do you have to back that up? -

Another very good crowd again hopefully any newcomers were not put off by a poorish meeting. Was interesting to hear that we have only been granted a 14 day facility for Berge and not 28 days as stipulated in the rule book. Apparently this is in the interests of British speedway! Once again this information should not have had to be made public in this way, it should have been published on the BSPA website the day the decision was reached. I am interested to know the decision making process behind this and if they voted, how each member of the MC did to arrive at this! Secret decisions only lead to more questions and accusations of some clubs being treated less favourably than others! As it is this is day 8 so we need to find someone this week. -

Potentially tricky fixture against the enigma that is Berwick, you just don't know what your going to get. Glasgow off the back of 3 away matches and Berwick a home defeat. Hopefully Jorgensen won't be in ht15, he added 45 minutes to the meeting last time taking to the deck entering turn 1 when he didn't gate, injuring himself in the process. Forecast is to be dry all day now, bring it on. -

Wouldn't be difficult. Perhaps the new engines ordered in 2014 have finally arrived! -
Another 4 PL points bagged and a superb night for Victor again on a small track, pity he couldn't ride like that at home. Its high time Stewart Dickson started being harder on Sarjeant and telling him in no uncertain terms to give up anticipating the start. He could have cost us tonight and never seems to learn. I was dismayed reading in a recent programme that Sarjeant thinks he is being picked on by certain referees. Nothing like deflecting attention from the real issue that he is not as good a rider as he thinks, if he has to continually go before everyone else! A short term strategy that is doing him, his team and its fans no favours. #monthetigers

He only came in in June, give him a chance, everyone else has had 3 months ahead of him to get going. There is no hiding place in a struggling team but Workingtons issues are with their longer term riders and not having a No1.

Not the greatest forecast for Sunday. The strong wind today should help dry up the torrential overnight rain, its what tonight brings whether the track will be raceable or not. Hopefully we can get it on, we still have rained off matches to run. -

A right royal pumping handed out by the PL's best team. Morris would have helped us over 40 but that's about it. -
Absolutely, take the standard route!

Temperamental Frenchman, high pressure manager, both are likely true. Wonder if Berge is working his ticket to ride with his mate Dave B next season!

It would have been a challenge with Morris riding. An absolute pumping potentially on the cards. -

He can be pretty decent round a lot of places but tends to start off well then quickly fade in the latter heats. -

A very difficult meeting for Glasgow to get through now. Wells for Morris makes us pretty weak at No1. A lot could depend on which Richard Hall turns up, avoiding last places is crucial. Kurtz will be superb round Sheff and an in form Jorgensen will also score well. Hopefully he who can't behave himself actually does and everyone stays save as a result. -
No thanks, we sacked him/he stepped down in June the previous season and was very poor. Not sure I could cope with the number of false starts he and James Sarjeant would create in the one meeting!

Replacing Berge is the priority just now. Howe's r/r rides can be taken by everyone except Morris. I thought Dmitri would have gone well at Sheffield on Thursday but not to be.

Without them you'd be wasting your money on third rate Brits, of which even them there are not enough. Speedway should be listed as a shortage occupation by the government whereby we can import the skills we don't have - not 3.00 pointers but the bar should be set at 5.00 for PL riders to achieve a visa IMO. -

You have had the same nucleus of Bach, Wells and Howarth for several years with no success. Bach and Wells were awful last year, I was astounded when Worky announced they were going to bring them back for 2015. The team is lacking a genuine No1 above 8.5 or 9 who can score points on the road and inspire the others. Grajczonek wasn't replaced this year although I'm sure they would have tried and Hansen was never going to be able to fulfil that role. A clear out is needed for 2016, though you can only do that if riders are willing to come and finances allow. Workington were a top club in the early to mid 2000's, great teams and travelling fans, hopefully they can get half way back to where they were. -

FFS,that has to be one of the worst meetings this season. Worky had nothing at the top end and nothing at reserve. Wells started good but faded, Rusty was ok and Hansen was decent overall, but when the Comets didn't gate they never looked interested in passing. Berge wasn't missed, Lunna & Roynon did well for Glasgow at reserve, Bjerre was tentative after a fall in his second ride and Lawson & Summers were superb though the lack of opposition helped them to a decent pay packet. A very challenging week coming up for the Tigers, good choice of guests will be critical. -

Absolutely, just getting it in early before the self righteous brigade do afterwards. It won't be slick that's for sure! -

Fair do's. Is there still a rule that you cannot sign a rider after August 1 or 31? -

The combined averages of Berge and Howe could be used to offer more flexibility in who we sign. Berge has been poor this season other than his appearances in the 2 Sky meetings, his absence doesn't seriously weaken us at home. Kozza proved to be the wrong signing, as has David Howe his replacement, frustrating when the solid second string we desire was right on our doorstep at the start of the season in Theo Pijper. Short term we now need to rely on guests x 2 and r/r. Definitely not ideal with the number of meetings coming up in the next fortnight.
