As far as i know Ben Morley is riding for LAKESIDE tonight ,wed ,,so Raiders could be tracking a guest
-
Apart from the shananagens before the last race it was a nail biting night for Rockets fans,,The team scraping home in heat 15,,Ride of the night Rob Branford heat 14 the lads an entertainer for sure...,,Personally i have been off line for nearly a fortnight with a line destroyed by the water boards excavations in our road,, And BT definately would not make quick speedway riders,,will they now sue the water board for their costs ???,,,,I want compensation from Talk Talk........

Ben Morley guests for Cradley.....Rain drizzling in south essex do not know if it is the same in Kent do not think it would be enough for a cancellation if it is....

It would.now appear that the rockets are not riding on the day of the National league double header ,Rockets. Are at Bewick the night before which is what Shads was referring too..So Branford and Morley will ride in the double header on the Sunday -
Ben Morley was lucky enough to have him as his coach the first time he sat on a speedway bike at a ride an slyde day at Kings Lynne,,Allround great guy....While im on here have not seen regular forum contributer Alan Jonesj at Rye lately, nor has he been ,posting,,on here,,please let us know if your ok Alan .....

I agree local guests will help the situation,,But it is not the same as having your own powerhouse top end ,,and i think you will find Bowens average is to high to guest as would Ellis,,s be,,, before you suggest him,,,,and there is nothing else out there to match our top two...... -

Tonights marathon does not bode well for a Raiders double header,,plus some other junior meet thrown in as well this is not what the fans want,, And if the Rockets are away no Branford or Morley ..Who is going to watch that !...,The match was easy for the Raiders against a weak Buxton side but it gave some usefull experience to the lower order who all managed a few points,,, score line was as easy as it looks 56 -34 ,,Even Priest had a 12 point max up till heat 15 where he got the nod over Ben.. Due to the dragged out after noon the fans were drifting away during the Raiders match and it is understandable..Some if not all the delays are avoidable....... -
Great come back from the Rockets,,started with a 5-1 from Robson and Morley in heat 11,,, followed by an impressive ride from Branford a 4-2 with Heeps. and with two rides to come from the invincible Kennet things were looking good for the aggregate victory,,,the score 54 -36 gave us a 2 point overall entry to the next round against Newcastle ,,An exciting meeting and Rockets looked solid tonight,,,,Just a shame about the boringly long time between the two meetings 1hr and a quarter..i feel the junior kids should have gone out before the first meeting,,The crowd started drifting away during the Raiders meeting in large numbers,,,its a shame but 5hrs and twenty minutes is just way to long for a double header...Lessons need to be learned for the sake of the fans......

It makes you wonder why two clubs this close together run on the same day..Both likely to lose customers..But for me Kent is such a poor racing track ( only one line ),,,given the choice i would always pick Rye House..Though both tracks could do with some more dirt to improve the racing,,,, -

Oh dear the dreaded stock cars the curse of all speedway tracks ,lets hope the track is in a safe condition ..puts me off attending Mildenhall.. -
With the return of Hunter and retaining Woods i would expect the Raiders to actually win this one,,,Branford ,,Morley and Priest should have a field day .If the preceeding Rockets match does not take to much out of Rob and Ben,,.Lets hope the meeting runs slicker than the last double header here,,Drawn out affairs are a big turn off for the fans..Weather forecast is good..Wishing all the riders a good safe meeting.....
-
Hope the weather holds for this one,,Raiders improved bottom end, if Hunter does ride,,may see them doing better than would otherwise been expected,,Good luck to all the riders, and hopefully the track is good as well....
-
That is good that Hunter can return without losing Woods ,, Lets hope he can remain free of further injuries which have dramatically slowed his progress this season,Leek may be a bit slow ..but does not fall off as much as Locke who gives it a go..It is a toss up who would pick up the most gift points,,Saul is only marginally, better,,So its down to the Manager...

I believe Hughie Saunders ex Rayleigh ,Hackney, in the seventies, and Rye House team manager early eighties ,,held the track record there at one time.. -
Good luck with the move Shads,,Hope you realise how cold it is up there in the winter, especially if your on the post early mornings,, (not sure if that is the case ))) ?you may have one of those cushy indoor jobs,,,

We can all hazard guesses as to why Kennet was not there. ..I am as unimpressed as any one about it..But i recon we will never know the actual reason why he was not there,..Outright condemnation really has to be proved ?? .... -
Hope i did not offend you with my joke about saving a few quid Shads ..I think also that Barraiders personal attack on you was disgusting..I do not know why the mods do not remove such posts ,,and as i said in my match report Locks 5-1 with Woods was gifted by Parkinson Blackburns puncture when leading by a mile... And was the only race that Locke did not fall off..Hero...
