Rye House V Somerset Bh Monday 28/03/16
waco replied to DragonsDen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good turnout for a great meeting on a track that now suits out and out racers..Looking very vulnerable early on the Rockets fought back to gain victory in a last heat decider with Edward Kennet looking head and shoulders above the rest and ..with some of the middle order saving their best efforts till late on,,Even Karger who is yet to impress showed signs of improvement in his last two rides..The track looks like it will produce exciting racing for the fans which in turn should keep the faithfull coming to Rye... -
Raiders V Kent Sun 3rd April ~ After Premier Match At 3pm
waco replied to waco's topic in National League Speedway
Agree Alan an excellent move by the promotion for those National league supporters who may not be able to afford the two meeting price,, or not interested in premier league racing,,,or indeed those taking a late sunday lunch..though to be honest a reasonable price for the double header.... -

Super afternoons racing in prospect ,,on what is predicted to be a warm sunny spring day, ,,Just hope they can keep the likely dust down ,....Can the Rockets edge it,,,Should be close on scores over the two meetings...Good luck to all the riders.... Dont forget your sun glasses they may have more than one use...?. -
Raiders may find this a tough first match against a strong Kent side that has strength in depth this year .. Raiders without Rob Branford still in Aussie i believe. ? .(Zach W..???........... cant spell it,,.from Somersett probably guesting ) and a long tail they will be doing well to hold the Kings, led by Luke Bowen and David Mason ,,the former Rye House riders, ,,supported by the entertaining Danny Ayers and James Shanes.... Raiders .Ben Morley and Luke Priest and Zach, will have some battles on their hands ,,Good luck and stay safe to all the riders....

Somerset Vs Rye House 25/03/16 League Cup
waco replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not a bad result at all, Robson appears to be a rejuvenated rider after two meetings, with Kennet that makes a decent spearhead,,be interesting to see the overall score after the second match on Monday,,could be a pointer to our chances of a successful season,,let's hope the weather doesn't spoil things... -
June 01 Look up Ian Bush thats all i know
-
Weather on monday is looking decidedly dodgy overall, but could be hit or miss in any area,,fingers crossed....
-
Ok Alan did not realise those i mentioned would be riding elsewhere,,Zach has shown he is a better rider on the bigger tracks and needs to improve on the tighter circuits before he can be considered a No 1..Who knows he may well prove me wrong if he rides for us on monday ?
-
No one likes RR but in this instance we would be incredibly weak without it..We also need a top guest to fill Branfords boots and i dont think the Somerset lad Zach is that yet ,,going on his performance in the National League riders championship last season.. ,,Bowen ,, Clegg or Hughes fit the bill much better

Rye House Vs Plymouth Sat 19th March 7pm
waco replied to barraider's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Had to work last night so was not there ,but great to see the team making a promising start..Robson may well prove to be a better rider round here than he has been in recent seasons elsewhere.. So with the exception of Karger who may need time to get dialed in ,,and Kasper who must have had problems last night,a good all round showing from the team...The winter negativity on here seems to be giving way to some positive expectations which can only be good for Rye House Speedway..... -
Saw Guy on channel 4 .a first for me and everyone is right. great personality,,wild eyed and obviously mad about motor bikes .Look forward to seeing him at Rye..
-
Their were plenty being taken,so you might get lucky .?
-
Impressive amount of improvements going on both on and off the track,,the more experienced riders looking fast and smooth,All bodes well for the future ,,Perhaps the posts on here will now become more positive..

yes

Press and Practice day now put back to Wednesday 16th march 11 am ,,all welcome..
-
I genuinly had never heard of Guy Martin but then i only follow speedway ,Obviously now i know how popular the guy is i can see that he will be good for Rye speedway ...
-
I f he does not ride speedway ,im not interested, what ever his wonderful personality is....This is supposed to be a speedway thread,?? or is it about flat track ..?
-
Never heard of Guy Martin and flat track is the most boring motorcycle sport i have ever seen ..If he,s not doing speedway whats all the fuss about ?
-
This is a completely new era at Rye House ,lets give it a chance, it could conceivably be better ,time will tell,, but if you do not try it you will never know..Personally im looking forward to the new season some might say for obvious reasons with my grandson Ben riding in both teams..
-
Bridgers style puts bums on seats ,,however unreliable he maybe..I think its worth the gamble .If he does the business and i think he will ,,as probably in the last chance salloon... and knows it !
-
From a personal point of view Rye was handy for me , and last years final was brilliant in more ways than one...I do not hold with the view that Leicester is an improvement as a race track...but have to agree that being a nuetral track for the riders is a good thing ..
-
We do not know what has gone on behind the scenes and until we do, i for one will not comment the possible reason for his departure....Suffice to say what ever your opinionis on the merits of John Sampford as a team manager ,,The guy knows the rule book backwards ,,,and ..he has given years of hard work and loyalty to Rye House and deserves respect....
-
I am afraid i do not think your the only one of that opinion...Just have to hope someone knows something we dont ?
-
Shads ,, have watched Kasper on video and compared to the other riders his reactions are slow,,maybe there is a technique that could be taught to improve this..What is your opinion of the team now that two riders have to move up a position in the team ?
