I hope his dad is in the pits with him,,, Brian was a top rider great gater and engine tuner he could be a great asset to the whole team..May even have some tips for Kasper on how to gate..If Peters on a 5 average i guess that puts Kasper up to a second string if he is over 5 at present (not sure) and a second string up to heat leader.which is not so good i guess...

You can not stop riders moving on usually for a better financial offer,,or closer to home .. So it does no good attaching blame to either party ..However in this case there is very little left to pick from ..Sam Woods has been around for a while now,and needs some good equipment to make the improvement he could make ,,money for that is the big problem ,he needs sponsers ?.. At present this could cost the Raiders points in what is looking a very long tail.. However no one can predict with any certainty the possible improvement in any of the riders and we have to hope that will be the case in at least a couple of them ...On the plus side the top 3 look good for at least 30 + points a meeting ,,, So your looking for around 15+ points a meeting, from the remaining 4 riders,,can they achieve this ,,that is the big question???,

To many virtually unknown riders to know how things may turn out,,But probably the usuall high spending promotions are most likely to fill the top spots,,,personally as long as the racing is competitive i will be happy ,,,Wish all the riders a good safe and enjoyable season..,,

Kenny Bowdery joins the raiders,a grasstracker with very little speedway experience ,,does any one know more about him ??

A lot of posters assuming the worst on here before we even know who the last rider is.. ,,0r two if they go down that route .Lets wait for the annoucement first and then by all means assess the teams merits..

Kent reject signs for Raiders,, I can only think Paul Hurry see,s something in the lad as apparently he is mentoring him,,And you would have to respect his opinion of Connors potential,,Time will tell ...

Luke Harris has been at the training school and must have a fair chance... Couzins rides the track ok and needs to put himself in the shop window there,,,but who knows maybe someone better will imerge over the coming weeks

Prices are to high,,,,,but i guess Bowen did not come cheap...

More to the point who is going to replace him at Rye House,,, the silence is defening...

You always hope it is going to be the rider in the team you support... With some though,, ,shrewd promoters may have seen the rapid improving type the season before somewhere such as the Dugards ..But in the main we will not know until the wheels start turning in the spring...

You do not see much genuine team riding these days,, The rider in front will occasionally look to help his partner but still wants to retain his position in front,,,Some teams do not even pay bonus points money,,,Also if your looking to make a higher grade it can effect the riders average....At reserve ..it really is dog eat dog as the stronger reserve on the night usually takes the others 4th ride,so though they are in the same team he becomes your main adversary... Should not happen, but it does..

This team will take some beating at home but may not travel so well,,It is well documented that David Mason does not travel well But is on a par with last years Baseby ., Luke,Clifton has not seen the other tracks for many years but i think he could do well at this level.. he used to be half decent ..the new lad Jack Thomas at reserve has good style but will struggle like most rookies away.. Danny Ayers with a bit more consistancy can challenge for the no 1 slot,,Not convinced that James Shanes will get a lot better,gating a serious problem at present.. Luke Bowen at this level will be very strong home and away ,and may be using this league to secure a premier league spot ,,hope he has a safe year as is injury prone .Hopefully Danno Verge can do well against the many rookies in the league at his best confidence wise ,he should beat most of them..A few question marks,but on paper a bit better than last year...

Would obviously have liked to have seen Kyle Hughes back with the Raiders,,,Deserves a no1 spot though,, he is an intelligent rider ,does great cut backs,,and at his best is quick on good machinary which i think he will get at Eastbourne ..A very nice lad to talk too., I wish him all the best for the season at his new club...

It is a form of cramping usually to the upper muscles of the arm but can also affect the muscles below the elbow.Usually in speedway riders in the right arm which is holding the bike up on the turns...

AJ is king ,with regards to Verge not lasting 4 laps he had an arm pump problem and i know he has taken advice on how to cure it ,,if that is resolved i think he can improve.and maybe this can help his confidence which was a resulting condition...Hopefully you may see an improved rider this season,?,.. Nice lad,,i know he is capable of better than was seen last year...

What riders are available assuming Rye go down either of the suggested routes to complete the team ??

With the last two riders to be picked from the training school.those who had a place last season in any team, but have yet to gain one this season ,should all get down to Rye to try and impress for a team spot ,,Smart move by Rye to see what is available..Lets hope one or two of them can improve on previous efforts ?

If as exspected tommorrow ,Bowen lines up at no1 with the rapidly improving Ayres making two no 1,s in effect,,strong support from the entertaining James Shanes who is not as good yet as some think he is,and will need to sort his gating out to be up there with the big guns..Mason chipping in with steady 6,s and 7,s at home,, Clifton i can see averaging around 4 to 5 to start with and Verge taking into account that there are a lot of rookie reserves in other teams, can see holding his own at res.. and a rookie Jack Thomas at no7 who has the opportunity to show what he can do given time..Actually looks a half decent team to me...

AJ is king..I think you could be dissappointed on monday ..? But then again i could be wrong ? ??

A few ifs about some of the signed riders ,but if they all click could be a very usefull side at home at least,..However i do not see many visiters from the mainland at those prices.. ( other than those on holiday..} without a favourable deal with Wightlink Ferries....Best of luck though ,to the new promotion.....
