  1. Will Luke want to do national league though it would be a step down for him...Though financially probably work out simular and for some promoter his average would be a bit of a steal in that league..
  2. Bowen is Lens man and is more likely to be at Kent in my opinion..
  3. The consensus on here is that the play offs are an unfair way of deciding the league champs So the only reason they are back in is that some promoters think they will produce more revenue for them at the end of the season..A separate cup competition between the top 4 teams would do the same..So why ???..They actually get something right for once,, then they change it,,I dont get it!!
  4. Steve Boxall a very naturally talented exciting rider on a decent bike, ,,However not so talented at every other aspect of speedway required to do the job really well, Great shame really...
  5. Glad to hear James is concentrating on improving his gating..If he gets that sorted he will be formidable at this level...Whatever happens his style will continue to make him a fans favourite.but to move on to a higher level quick gating is vital....
  6. Apart from the unwanted play offs,it should be a cracking season with plenty of highly competitive riders involved many of whom will be confident now that they are going to have somewhere to actually ride
  7. Just a few hours to go now and we should know the points limit..I envisage rapid signings to be made within days .Personally hope the limit is 40 to allow strong teams and better racing this season, and to accommodate some of the decent riders that will not get a Premier League place, otherwise they could be without any team place.and that would be a very bad move...
  8. I agree with greyhound p just look at his record in heats 13 and 15 ,that's no myth..
  9. I have watched Kasper gating on videos and his reaction on his clutch is definately slower than other riders...If you dont have fast reactions your never going to make a gater.
  10. with costs needing to be kept to a minimum these fine ideas are not going to happen.
  11. What about choice of gates when a team is say 10 points behind until that is reduced below ten,,just a suggestion?
  12. If Luke gets back into the groove quickly he will be a bargain on 3 points remember him being quite usefull in his previous short spell in the sport... James shanes will struggle at number 1 without considerable improvement in his gating.,, Danny Ayers however is improving fast and if he is at Kent will soon take over the number one spot and go on to be a really good rider especially now he has a place in one of the strongest sides in the Premier League Glasgow.,,James is a great entertainer, but was not effective against the top riders from last season,,however many of them could be ruled out if the points limit is not raised considerably, which in my opinion it needs to be to keep the more competitive riders in this league..
  13. Unfortunately we dont know the managements reasons for their actions and probably never will...I could hazzard a guess,,but will not on here,,, suffice to say there are always two sides to an argument and we are only hearing one...?
  14. I feel a league competition should be won by the team with the most points after all matches have been ridden and declared champions..It is still easy to put on a competition for the top 4 clubs to have some highly competitive meetings at the end of the season with a trophy whatever you want to call it...Just my opinion....
  15. Really tough on Rob Branford,,i feel he may have been ? a victim of unforseen circumstances regarding the attempted signing of other riders that went **** up.. for what ever reasons... Sincerly hope the points limit goes to at least 40 in the National League to allow Rob to get fixed up next season....
  16. Hopeing for a forty point limit to maintain riders of a sufficiently high standard to make the racing competitive,,without that you could lose all the 9plus average riders.,it could even effect those above 8 ave if it stays as low as last season with loads of 3 pointers many of the no improvement standard
  17. Probably not Islander....And the points limit will need to be raised to at least 38 ,,probably 4o to accommodate any of last years top riders....
  18. Quite a few ifs and buts concerning the teams merits. You have to think that maybe the original plan was Lambert and Branford ,but went out the window at the negotiation stage with Lambert,,,unfortunatly for him possibly ruling Branford out,, and then going for strenght in depth just my theory could be way wrong ,.Having looked at signings else where, it does not look a bad side.but no one will know for sure till next spring...
  19. Why. do some posters have to ruin a thread with twit for tat nonsense totally agree with Westham Boy66,,The thread is Rye House 2016 if you have forgotten..?
  20. Basby is not committed enough to be signed by any club .Let Kent down badly crying off so many away meetings
  21. Definately needs to be a couple of points higher this season you should not have to carry more than two 3 pointers..It was demoralising for the fans at kent knowing we could not win because of the points limit and unable to strengthen the side..
  22. I believe John Sampford will still be at Rye next year his knowledge of the rule book and work behind the scene will be important in the new set up...I think the Raiders are also a strong possibility also to maximise the use of the stadium..
  23. With Lambert signed by Newcastle what 8 point riders are left to pick from assuming their demands can be met ??
  24. With 12.5 points to play with it could still be a decent team if the points are used to their max. They have obviously arrived at this figure with certain riders in mind..Lets see the final line up before making judgements..
  25. Kyle Hughes pulled out of yesterday's fours at Kent,,not well,,he will need to make a rapid recovery if Rye are to have a chance over the two legs,,Still should be a good meeting at Rye ,,between two good sides. ..
