  1. While we are on football ,,to bore you further ,,,i support Southend United
  2. Steve Boxall is a class act.but will need to up his gating in the Premier League ,may have looked pretty good gating in the National league..but was headed round the first bend many times by Ben Morley and some other sharp starters,..Still think he will do well,, and along with Garrity is one of the most exciting riders in the country..
  3. Yes just seen the Rye post .Thanks anyway guys..
  4. I am still worried about Gustix has not been on here for ages ,normally he is on every day,,does he live alone ?..Seriously Gustix if your OK ,let us know on here ...If any one knows his address or phone number please make contact with him??
  5. To get round the problem last year press and practice was run as a race meeting ..I presume it will be the same this year ..Unless any improvements have been negotiated with the council.. On another note where the hell has Gustix gone i sincerly hope the old boy is OK .?
  6. I dont think the council allows track time other than meetings,,?
  7. Certainly looks like Simon and Ben will be more affected by away meetings for Kent as opposed to at home on mondays..Lakeside are running a few sats as opposed to bank holiday mondays Not to sure on Simons commitments in the premier and elite meetings but Rye appear to be switching from bank holiday mondays to sunday afternoons which will help a little It is a bit complicated at the moment ,,but i believe guests will be available for both of them....
  8. It has gone a bit quiet on here with Gustix may be gone on holiday to sunny spain and forgotten to take his Ipad ? ,,And Nikko gone fishing again,?,This site must not lose its most visited status,, So come on lads think of something controversial to debate ..The other sites are so boring in comparison....
  9. Great news ,but they will need some heat leaders from somewhere ,are there any left. ? .A team of rookies would get slaughtered even at home, for some time, till they improved,,and an enthusiastic bunch of fans could soon dissapear,if that was the case..... I just hope they can put out a competitive team ..
  10. Thanks for the info Malcolm im sure things are now becoming clearer for the Kent fans,,Good luck with Stoke except when they are riding against us ,,and look forward to seeing you around this season ..
  11. Lambert is liable to be missing even more times than Ben, as he is riding in 3 leagues, in fact both could be missing on occasions . This situation will apply to most National league sides ,could be a problem ,?
  12. Also the elite league draft riders will be missing from their teams a number of times if i have been informed correctly that elite (Or british league) takes priority..then there are those with premier league commitments,,so that will play a big part in who finishes where in the table..So it is very difficult to make predictions on how things will pan out this season....
  13. Kent Kings is the most visited site in the national league section of the forum ,,i would suggest that it is because of the many diverse views on here,,Personally i do not agree with a lot that Nikko says , but i would always defend his right to express it ,,he did an excellent job of publicizing the Kings last season,,but as i have said before those who put their money up to run any business make the decisions and whether you like it or not thats the way things are, you either except it,,,, or walk away ,,But hopefully continue to support the Kings in a positive way which undoubtedly was the case for most of last season,,.For sure this site will be less interesting without diversified opinion...
  14. Gammy 73 Dan Blake is not an unknown or untested rider has had more expierience than Adam Kirby at league racing having ridden for Rye 2nd,s and the I.O.W ,,prior to 2010 ,and hails from Harlow Essex ..
  15. Bit of a surprise really but Dan Blake is the final rider for kent,,,rode for rye house 2nd team several seasons ago before injury halted his career and should be well capable of doing a good job at reserve,, Kent have now, a strong side, that should be challenging for honours this season.. Bring it on
  16. You are right Gustix i had a mental block when i wrote it that way, ill sort it
  17. Rikki Mullins is quick enough his problem in the past has been staying on board for 4 laps If he has now improved on that he would be ok,,, Liam Rumsey yes a good possibility, Danny Phillips is still the strongest option,,with Aaron Mogridge the most likely rookie ,,so there,s 4 possibles,,any more any one ???
  18. I agree that Adam Kirby would be a better option than a complete rookie I feel his equipment let him down a lot last year and this is a problem with many youngsters and its usually down to money ,or the lack of it.. A fit Adam on good bikes could have done a good job at reserve this season ..I feel for the lad,,,but i suppose the management did give him a whole season to improve and that did not happen,,not to say it could,nt if he had another opportunity .He has a bit of dash about him, rides hard into the corners, but at times gets to close to other riders back wheels usually with bad results,,Hope he gets a place in a team some time this year ,and prove hes got what it takes,.... My guess now at the last rider is Aaron Mogridge.... Who is going well at Rye training schools..
  19. Is that your dog in the picture Nikko, ,,really cute ,as you say its beginning to look like a trainee as the last rider ,,I had hoped we would sign Danny Phillips but on hearing he lives up north im doubtfull,,,would have given Kent a team that could challenge for honours ,,and who else is there, thats not a complete rookie?? any ideas ??
  20. Not so good if you attend Rye and Mildenhall ....Changing subject ,if we dont sign the last rider soon there wont be anyone well known left ,worth a carrot ,im beginning to think its going to be a training school rookie and they are waiting to find out the best of these..By all accounts Aaron Mogeridge is improving rapidly ,at Rye training school, and dad Alan would be invaluable in the pits ..
  21. I have always found in the 60 odd years i have been involved with speedway in one way or another. That a successfull team of riders who also take an interest in their fans, promote themselves ,and the club, in many cases regardless of the promotion itself, and that will be the case with the kings if they win trophys this season and provide good entertainment,. and no one will be thinking about who the promoters are then..The riders are what matters in speedway and all the debate on here from the few ,,some of whom dont even attend Kent regularly, or at all !! ,,means little to the vast majority of fans who just want to see entertaining racing....Forget the negativity , If the team is strong this can be a season on the up ,for the Kent Kings ....
  22. And i heard the british league takes priority ,,confused ? so am i...
  23. Ben Morley is also riding for Lakeside this season as a draft rider,,,as there are many riders riding for several clubs this season, it would be a good idea for some one to find out which clubs have priority on nights of clashes ,which will be many.. For the various scenarios that different riders are in ,at the moment it is as clear as mud and the B.S.P.A ,,should confirm exactly what will happen under the varying circumstances riders find themselves in ??
  24. Obviously if Mr Cairns wanted to be more hands on he could be its his Stadium. but he chose the route the track would operate in and thats the way it is ,unless he changes it at any time . .I have the greatest respect for Nikko ,as a PR man he did a great job for the Kent Kings last season,,but what ever the problems were ,( and i don,t know,),,,It is a fact that those who hold the purse strings make the decisions ..The main thing is Kent has a Speedway team of committed riders who want to win and entertain their fans, and know they are going to get paid on time by an honest promotion,,(Which they are here) ..We have speedway in a superb venue , So lets be gratefull for that ,and if you love the sport, support it,.Especially after Kent being in the competative speedway wilderness for so many years...
  25. Thanks, so he is in fact able to ride in the League next season. Will he be the signing.? or will they go with some one ,who they have stated would be good enough for a top five place ,at reserve ?? Not long to find out...
