Rye House V. Isle Of Wight - Sat. 1st September Approx. 8pm
waco replied to Alan_Jones's topic in National League Speedway
Connor Coles is the son of ex Exeter top rider Micheal Coles who in turn was the son of the legendary Bob Coles ..So plenty of speedway blood in the family, Hopefully with the help of dad he will progress to make a Rocket in the future he certainly has plenty of dash about him... -

A paid the max for guest Stephan Nielson,,But Ben Morley was denied a full 15 point max by a broken primary chain on the last lap of heat 15 ,,,,,,dead unlucky..Some promising rides from rookie Connor Coles ,,,,,,Good back up from James Sarjeant,,and signs of a return to form of Shane Hazelden, who has been short of racing recently,,A battling display from the Raiders to see of the challenge of the Islanders in an entertaining encounter...Result 50-40... -

Another meeting stressing the importence of having reserves that can score good points ,Of course Stark is heat leader material, who has had problems, but is now getting back to form.. -

Nielson ,Great guest for Garrity ..this meeting will depend on the scoring of the respective reserves,,Stark is in good form and will likely get 7 rides..Hopefully promising rookie Coles can get amongst the points -
Dudley Heathens V Rye House 28.08.12 19:30
waco replied to 21st century heathen's topic in National League Speedway
What team motivation is there for the riders who could.be much better..I know the likes of Morley ,,Sarjeant ,,Hazelden and Chessle are better than this , The management did not even bother to get a decent guest for Garrity or sign any one to replace Franklin..Looks like Len is losing interest in the National League. an is only hoping to spot a good rookie for the future...The rumours could be right Shads an i fear for the survival of this league..Apart from the very strong well supported teams;;Dudley and Mildenhall ,,maybe stoke,,the others cant compete and with the rest of the promoters losing money.several teams may fold this year.. Could see the demise of this league with Dudley and Mildenhall probably Stoke stepping up to the Premier League,, It could happen !.. -
Dudley Heathens V Rye House 28.08.12 19:30
waco replied to 21st century heathen's topic in National League Speedway
The Rye team is im afraid very weak .No Garrity and the reserves are training school rookies, Morley,, Sarjeant,,Hazelden , and Chessle will give it their best shot,,,But a huge win is on the cards for Dudley .It would be quite an achievment if the Raiders can get 30 points ..unfortunatly us fans dont pick the team....The man who pays them does...I dont think Hazeden and Chessle have even ridden for over a month...Oh yeh ,Chessel did have 2 rides in the 4s big deal that.... -
Rye House V Leicester Pl 27 August
waco replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You obviously have never noticed that Cris Neath and other fast riders like Josh Auty invarably ride on the adverse camber ..They can handle it ,,however many cant.. and a considerable number of these crash because of it,,mainly opposition riders ,,hence it unfortunatly remains in place to the detriment of the racing.... -
Rye House V Leicester Pl 27 August
waco replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You could say it is a run off area allowing a good distance to the fence,,but it does have an adverse camber and others would say it makes it difficult for some riders to maintain control should they go over the top of the banking..Over all it is probably a small advantage to the home riders who have more experience of it...Personally i like most at Rye would like to see it done away with.... -

Once the track went ultra slick after the interval ,, the Liecester lads were busy changing set ups ,,and the rockets started to be consistantly out gated ..Only Ben Morley popped out in heat 11 to record one of his best ever wins at this level over Kauko Nieminen ,,not until heat 15 did another rocket lead...won by Josh Grazonic ?? Who was an excellent Guest...A well deserved win by our visitors who could have won by more if they had a manager who knew what he was doing ....Heat 7 oh dear.??.... The rockets changes,, well i dont think a big awkward rider like Simon Lambert will be suited to Rye, though he may do ok away and gives 100%...Kasper Lykke has the makings of a very good rider,, but at the moment needs some one to help him with his gating..Nice to see Cris Neath doing just that after the meeting....Our Ben needs a run in this or any other team ? ,to improve his confidence, mainly away from home ..At the moment he is in ,,,then hes out ,,an this can mess with a youngster,s head ..Not saying it has his...But he showed today what a good little gater he is ,, and on the pace . Has a 4.25 Average at this level....just give him time....All youngsters like Ben need more competitive track time to make the jump up....Which any of the youngsters will tell you is very hard.....Especially if you are a brit.... -
10 .57 thats a lot if its right A 7+ and a 3. pointer sounds good to me,,.but Lens into 5 pointers to keep strong reserves who ever goes up or down
-
Depends on what points we had to play with ,,i dont know ,,,any ideas....
-
Simon struggled in his last premier league team .i think Len sees him as another strong reserve with Bunyan or Garrity moving up shortly.. Still think hes a rider who has already reached his potential. Talking of Ned Kellys great grandson when are they letting him out!.
-
Yeah so much for the wonderfull loyalty he was showing Stoke..Hawkins ,must feel for him after this like for like signing ..wheres the gain.???

Rye House V Plymouth (pl)... 18th August @ 7pm
waco replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Excellent meeting, but i wont comment further or i might say something i should,nt ,,,suffice to say i agree with some of the earlier comments on here that i applaud whole heartedly.... Actually Shad,s it was a first ader short,,It was filled by second halfer Niall Strudwicks dad who is qualified -
As a neutral in the argument it would seem if you are fielding ultra strong National league teams with doubleling up premier and elite league riders then its inevitable you are going to be without them in a number of meetings..Mildenhall have every right to run their meetings at their normal start times,, that it does not suit the opposition is not their problem.

Are there any updates for this meeting anywhere/??

Rye House V Workington 13/8/12
waco replied to cityrebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Really enjoyable meeting ..Since switching to GMs Jason Garrittys form has rocketed will soon be changing team places with Hawkins who consistantly disapoint,s ,Time for Len to look else where for next season....New boy Kasper looks a real prospect will use this season to get used to different tracks and improve his gating ..Very good signing Len...Bunyan too has a problem with gating ...is consistent both home and away with his points , but i dont think the Rye track suits him ..We missed Charlie s big points but that was somewhat cancelled out by a below par performance from their No 1 Richard Lawson who either has a very slow bike or has lost confidence..Im sure its a temporary blip as hes a good rider... I thought the track surface was excellent tonight The new shale is a big improvement on the old fine dust,,,and with the dodgy rain forecast i think Len got it dead right tonight.... -
You would think so..Does Doolans average fit ?..Might kick start his season,,?
-
Hector ..I was]not aware that i was critisizeing any one, or any team,, just stating facts off the bpsa site and passing an observation of those facts...Certainly agree they made better use of the points limit at the start of the season than any one else...
