  1. It would only interfere with a rider's concentration if the green light was on, in which case that would be the fault of the referee as he should only put the green light on once the marshal has walked away. However, this wasn't the case and I've seen on numerous occasions where the marshal has had to squeeze through a gap between two riders, or walk in from of a rider to move out of the way. How else is he meant to get from the tapes to the rear of the riders if there isn't enough room between them?
  2. This is why you're on here and Paul Bellamy is running the show.
  3. you mean Blande Pedersen? I was even yawning writing his surname!
  4. I feel quite lucky to come out of that with 12. One of the most unpredictable GPs in a long time. Well done to Home Straight for managing 24, even with Pedersen!
  5. To say Jonsson is bland is like saying Bridger is a smashing chap. He hasn't been at his best for some time but when he gets it together he is a joy to watch. Anyone who has seen the 2004 SWC (admittedly a few years ago now) will tell you Jonsson is far from bland.
  6. Lindback? Never thought of it that way but now you mention he does seem a bit of a gater and looks lost when behind.
  7. I like Holder but that does annoy the hell out of me. it's just embarrassing now, like some kid on Tiswas trying to get noticed.
  8. Great result for Greg after a disastrous start. 22 points up, it's now his for the taking and I hope he does it. Good to see Jonsson back to form and climb into the top 8. Lindback rode extremely well tonight and looks to be back on track, shame he choked it again in the final but I guess once a Pirate, always a Pirate.
  9. So it's out of gates 1 and 2 then. Good chance for Lindback.
  10. Had we still had the dreadful knockout system he may well have done!
  11. If that's your biggest complaint m, he must be doing a good job.
  12. What's the excuse for his fifth outing? There must be one on the way.
  13. This is wide open now, after a duff start I fancy that Herbie will win it and extend his lead at the top.
  14. Courtesy of speedway updates: After Heat 12: 1. Magnus Zetterstrom - 2,0,0, = 2 2. Kenneth Bjerre - 0,2,3, = 5 3. Emil Sayfutdinov - 1,2,3, = 6 4. Matej Zagar - 3,3,0, = 6 5. Janusz Kolodziej - 3,1,2, = 6 6. Tomasz Gollob - 0,1,2, = 3 7. Greg Hancock - 1,0,3, = 4 8. Chris Holder - 2,2,2, = 6 9. Antonio Lindback - 2,3,1, = 6 10. Jarek Hampel - 3,3,2, = 8 11. Chris Harris - 1,3,1, = 5 12. Nicki Pedersen - 0,1,1, = 2 13. Andreas Jonsson - 3,2,1, = 6 14. Freddie Lindgren - 2,0,Ef, = 2 15. Rune Holta - 1,1,0, = 2 16. Jason Crump - 0,0,3, = 3
  15. They sometimes do that if the inside is going up slightly quicker than the outside. Or if you've got someone like Holder on the outside of you who tries to kid you through the tapes it's best to look the other way.
  16. You know it's not about guessing the winner but about who will score the most above the prediction?
  17. I find if you travel alone rail can be cheaper than driving, especially when you take into account parking, etc. But as a family or even a couple it can work out very expensive.
  18. But then you will have teams turning up with 4 riders again if they get hit by injuries. I don't see a problem with team changes. If 2 of your 5 are useless why take them to the next round?
  19. I've sat at various places all round the stadium and never been stopped yet. Maybe you look too guilty!
  20. Keef you can move almost anywhere once the racing starts, as a lot of people will tell you.
  21. Can we have Crump's 3 titles too being as he is half British anyway?
  22. it's the joking bit most of us want changing. As a compromise, if a team is 8 points behind (I'm not comfortable that a team can level the scores with double points) they should start slightly behind the rest. I've no problem with double points from a handicap start, and would suggest for a SWC event 10 meters rather than an almost impossible 15.
