King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
mikebv replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
100%.. Hence Thursday nights are now Poland's to do what they want with... Basically.. "You let us have Thursday's and we will let you have some of "our" riders". "(But only until it doesn't suit us for you to have them)" "Agreed? Great news. Just sign here, here, and here, please"... -
Speedway of Nations 2024
mikebv replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It certainly won't be a "good look" for anyone watching "who used to go" or has a passing knowledge of the sport.. Certainly no FOMO when you watch something with swathes of empty seats... -
Speedway of Nations 2024

I presume that means £11.50 per meeting if you go to all four??? Forty six quid if so!!!! Edit Loads of tickets left... Not sure they will need the extra seating... When do they officially get worried about the uptake in seats? -
And only four guests too?... Must have packed 'em in...

Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears 5th June
mikebv replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The racing at most places is pretty poor isn't it? BSN must be cheesed off as they depend so much on "generic" speedway fans subscribing... I get to watch Poland and Sweden and often give UK racing a miss on Eurosport given invariably it is poor entertainment.. Apart from a few tracks, eg. (in no particular order), NSS, Glasgow, Worky, Scunthorpe 0 and Redcar, there does seem to be a very low entertainment threshold at a lot of tracks... Based on a "win at all costs" mentality maybe around track prep? What promoters forget I fear is that only one team can win a league, so, for many teams, they are out of contention within a month or two,.. (Leagues where let's be honest don't carry too much kudos or financial reward).. ,Therefore, selling "the racing" for thes majority of clubs has to be key surely? -

No isolation rules anymore.. Treated as a cold, flu etc.. Just a normal ailment nowadays, some feel OK with it and can carry on, some feel bad.. Time of work is "normal sick" too, no dispensation for it.. -
Might result in a scrum to attend... I'll get me coat....
-
I enjoyed tonight... Not that much passing but lots of tight situations to appreciate the talent of the riders... And a humble winner...
-
Nonsense... Covers won't work over here... We have been told...
-
Dreadful start from Lambert...
-
To be fair, Tai has been "backing out of tight situations" for about 3 years.. I hope his amazing legacy doesn't get tarnished by going "too long"... Someone close to him may need to hurt his ego a bit and tell him straight..?
-
I am in Latvia currently which may help..... Stockport, Latvia...
-
Lambert could win this... Very quick but hasn't made great starts..
-
Vaculik.... 100% every race, and comes across as a great lad... Could have coasted that yet took that risk around the outside...
-
Firestick is fine....
-
Freddie... Amazing will to win over so many years....
-
Dan doesn't have that "killer instinct"... Not going to be successful when Bartek, Holder, Lindgren, Doyle, Lambert etc, all have that win at all costs mentality..
-
Time up for Tai? Riding too defensive for the past few years, and when that is your default position, you probably need to call it a day at GP elite level..

The Leicester fans must be delirious watching Max ride so well...
