  1. I merely mentioned BWD as a bit of a laugh as wondered what his future plans were, but it looks increasingly likely he’s going to be back in the UK next season now. He’s just posted today about flying back to New Zealand to ride in the national champs, something he hasn’t done for a while!
  2. Agree it'd be the biggest gamble signing in the league, but no doubt he's got ability. Riss is riding for Landshut in the Polish league, not sure a Saturday night track will work for him
  3. Was never going to anywhere else, I don't actually think he's the best signing on his average (3.17 I think) Will just be competing against all the new 2 point riders in the league some of who are arguably better Suppose it's a bit of loyalty shown by Glasgow.
  4. He had a big shoulder injury going into the season was never fit. Only rode 1 match I believe. Last proper average was 6.37 in the Premiership 2019 for Peterborough.
  5. One name who I haven't seen mentioned on any of the Championship threads is Bradley Wilson-Dean, his average would be 8.21. He mentioned on Facebook that he has recieved 2 team offers for 2024. Not an ideal average with him not properly riding over here since 2019 (rode 1 match for Newcastle in 2022) Still only just turned 29, someone will have take a gamble on him sometime you'd think if he wants to get back into British Speedway. Also won the US Open championship recently in October. Would fit into these comments, I did see them somewhere, perhaps in the Speedway Star?
  6. The lineup for 2024, will be just fine. Don’t know what the panic is. May be something lined up soon to announce the riders. CC111, Claus, Mitchell Cluff for starters
  7. Will be riding for Wrocław U24 side on Tuesdays again. Has to keep weekends free for practice over there if he wants to keep progressing. No idea how he juggles a full time job, PL Championship and Poland! Fair play
  8. Palm Toft? Don’t know where is local to him, but that’ll be a relief
  9. Luke Harrison signed, it’s in the speedway star
  10. Yeah he qualifies for a visa now, finished top 4 in the Victorian State championship at the weekend. The podcast was recorded before that happened
  11. Yeah he is making his debut in Ekstraliga 2 (Old Div 1) for Poznan in 2024
  12. Out in the town centre today, promoting the club https://x.com/workycomets/status/1728367958307606748?s=46
  13. Did you see my other post? The combined average doesn't count for much when his away average was 7.00, making him 19th on that particular list! Puts a lot of pressure on the rest of the team if the number 1 doesn't perform away from home.
  14. £15 would be underselling the sport in my opinion, it's even £20 across the board to watch non-league (National League) football these days. I had a look at 2015 admission prices and they were £15 for Championship level speedway then, when if you compare to a minimum wage of £6.50ph it does seem more expensive in 2015. If you compare to 2024, minimum wage is due to be set at £11.44ph and admission £20. I know there an many other factors and many workers who are salaried don't often see large rises but it's one interesting way to look at it.
  15. Neither will be riding in Polish senior leagues, only U24 league on a Tuesday
  16. If you look at his 2023 home average though it overinflates this at 10.08, and away is 7.00. Probably tells alot with the home track advantage that Armadale gives
  17. Based on what? Not great away from Armadale
  18. It’s in the Speedway star, Lambert is the first signing
  19. Listed as 3 groups of 3 on the British Speedway site - https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2024-bsn-series/ I'd imagine this is how it will stay?
  20. I don't think there is enough meetings to do this anymore unfortunately, otherwise you'd be racing 3 of your 8 away league matches in a single weekend.
  21. I agree! Was looking through his CL averages over the years and it reminds you how dominant and consistent he's been at this level. "Bad" seasons have still been 9 point averages. 2009 Workington 3.93 2010 Workington 7.47 2011 Edinburgh 8.09 2012 Edinburgh 9.99 2013 Edinburgh 10.83 2014 Edinburgh 10.41 2015 Edinburgh 10.47 2016 Peterborough 9.67 2017 Workington 10.37 2018 Glasgow 11.05 2019 Glasgow 10.71 2021 Glasgow 9.46 2022 Glasgow 8.98 2023 Edinburgh 9.08
  22. It was Saturday 3pm this season if people don't know that. Personally no good for me as I play local sport at the same time. I'm sure the promotion would avoid clashes with the England matches, they aren't daft, plus it's not going to be weekly Speedway. And I don't think anyone will be missing a meeting because of the Olympics!
