Workington v Berwick Border Trophy 31/03/24 3pm
Marksman replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No need for the name calling, you’ve proved who the real idiot is here when you can’t check simple info. First you attack the promotion for not having a match report up straight after a meeting (try travelling back from Berwick to Workington and getting up to go to the track at 11am), then about an injury update (which is posted on socials around 3 and a half hours before the meeting) Then play dumb because you don’t check all the correct channels. The constant negativity on here is boring, and I’ll probably just give it a miss in future. Hope this is eloquent enough for you. p.s the positivity from hundreds of Facebook comments is great to see. Funny that because people post on there with a real name. Coincidence? I think not. Some of the comments on here are great, others quite obvious mickey taking, others are just damn oblivious. -

Stupid comment, the preview for the whole weekend was put on there on Wednesday. And all the information constantly updated on Social Media, probably one of the best out there for a small one man band kinda thing. -
Yeah it was very clear from the back straight, but I bet it’s hard from that ref’s box on the strange angle they have. Was surprised at how fast Vissing was, he was the fastest rider on show. As for the others, especially Tate and Antti they were just trying to work out the track and when to shut off the throttle. The riders come into the bends so fast because of the long straights I’ve not been to Berwick for years, but can’t remember the track being that bumpy and awkward to ride. Berwick guys are clearly dialled into the lines on it, fair play and should have an unbeaten season at home. I think it’s good for speedway when sides are strong at home. Our guys will put on a good show tomorrow, hopefully Antti and Cookie they’ve came away unscathed after their falls. Craig hit the fence really hard

Met office radar shows a heavy shower passing through between 4.30-5. Hope it goes ahead, I’m sure they’ll be giving it a go now -

There will be thousands more views on their Facebook page then the website gets. You don't have to use or be 'on' Social media to see the posts, it amazes me how many people don't get this. It's just a web address like the official webpage is - https://www.facebook.com/scunnyspeedway All the info you'll ever want will be on there -

Poole Pirates Vs Oxford Cheetahs BSN Good Friday

The funny thing is Craig Cook had similar words on Saturday -
The only deadline is that the clubs have to log their team on the SCB portal 3 days before a meeting, hence him mentioning Wednesday. This is what he meant
-
Yep, it's mentioned in the Berwick preview - https://www.berwickspeedway.com/news/bandits-face-early-bombardment/

Claus is at No.3 for Sunday at home, Zischke at 2.
-
I believe that the guy who posts on this thread does commentary on it? Will probably be a 2 camera set up or something.
-
Yeah it'll most likely work on most TV's or Fire stick through the Internet app, just isn't supported. So if you did have any issues, they would wash their hands of it and say to use a computer/mobile instead
-
Yeah this '75% guest rule' is in the 2024 rulebook under no facility, so at worst Plymouth could just get a guest up to 5.87 avg. Looking at a list of these riders from what I can see aren't already riding on Saturday; Castagna Heeps Atkins Lambert Mountain Knudsen Bailey etc.

A lot of clubs use a company called Infinity21, it requires a steady internet upload speed. Northside has nothing yet being isolated, believe it's somewhere on the openreach/Fibrus roadmap! Berwick being in a built up area (and being a football stadium) will have ADSL lines at the very worst, so could also have card payments.
-
Answered my own question, they've updated the schedule with the 2024 fixtures streamed, good news. https://tv.scunthorpe-speedway.com/
-
The logic is they can't really go to Berwick having not even seen the track and where the racing line is and go out in Heat 1. Gives them 2 heats to visually get an idea They will both be fine, think they would both far outscore the likes of Kemp and Etheridge at Northside

Claus should have a good opening weekend riding at Number 2, strong rider to have in that position. James said the line-up for Fri/Saturday will be; 1. Cookie 2. Vissing 3. Antti 4. Tate 5. Batchelor 6. Sam 7. Celina And then might change for the Home fixture on Sunday.

Anyone know if Scorpions TV will be streaming the meeting against the Comets on Friday?
-
Only 6 riders here today. No.7 is being announced tonight at the meet the riders event in the Waverley at 7pm.
-
Yeah I don't know who makes these rumours up! It was just a few of the guys (and girl) whizzing round the mini track
-
Would hope not the track looked great on the video posted 2 hours ago

Some smart looking Kevlars for 2024
-
Probably still tangled up in the tapes somewhere

He's already fixed up in Poland, Sweden and Denmark won't be in the UK i'd imagine
