Glasgow v Eastbourne Friday 26 June 2021 @ 7.30pmemilali replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Another value for money stream this evening. Was a good match just a shame Kennett and Newman were shambolic for Eastbourne. Brennan once again showing what a top talent he is with some good rides. Jensen brilliant for the Tigers. I really hope Glasgow keep this streaming service going long term because its a fantastic race track and I love the effort the promotion have put into the club and they really want to win which for me in sport is so important.

Ultimately the only ambition is to win the home matches, away is completely irrelevant. I think they’ve gambled that with Flint at reserve if everyone else goes ok they would win the home matches and not have to bother replacing Garcia. Not turned out a very good gamble tbh.

Berwick v Redcar Saturday 12/06/21 7pmemilali replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Unfortunately (whether certain people believe it or not) this is a poor side. Built to a very clear budget with 1 main aim (you assume) of winning the home matches. You wonder how long the crowd will hold out watching the ineptness of that 4 for much longer. I do wonder if changes may be looked at shortly. NBJ, Summers and Gappmaier could have no real complaints imo if they got the boot.

Can't wait to read his column next week and see what the excuses were for this evenings home defeat after his little statement below + SPOILER ALERT + Most speedway meetings are won by the home team. Always have been, probably always will be – indeed that very likelihood can be calculated mathematically using the Jeffrey Divergence model as favoured by Marek and Vavra.

Actually rode really well in the first heat he got given after being restless at the tapes. Certainly a mile better than Tkocz.

Plymouth vs Berwick CH 08/06/21emilali replied to Bandits4eva's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Thankfully not, not that it has any relevance to the point I was making. Embarrassing result against a garbage side, end of story.

Plymouth vs Berwick CH 08/06/21emilali replied to Bandits4eva's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Why should I be embarrassed by my post? Plymouths team is rubbish, the table will reflect that come the end of the season. I’m certainly not bitter and twisted at all I was just passing an opinion which seems to have been agreed with by several other posters. Just in case you aren’t aware, Lawson and Edwards aren’t Plymouth riders.

Plymouth vs Berwick CH 08/06/21emilali replied to Bandits4eva's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Effort and commitment doesn’t win you anything, that should be a given. That Plymouth side is horrific, thats why Berwick should be embarrassed by the result.

Good ideas that you raise. I wasn't trying to suggest there was an obvious answer I just found it odd. I think paying for both then getting refunded the 2nd if you don’t want to watch it would work but obviously that can create a few problems. On the streaming side of things I think it’s something all clubs should be looking at going forward as it’s an uncapped possibility of who may tune in for it. For me as I dont live in the area I’d be far more likely to watch it online from a stream than I would be to go in person.

Totally agree. I also think its a massive mistake only selling tickets for both matches at £25 rather than the 16 or 17 for people who perhaps only wanted to watch 1. Given how the last 15 months has been, £25 will be a lot of money for many people. There should be an option imo for single tickets for either match.
-
Seems a strange decision to me if thats the case. Not everybody will want to watch 2 matches and also I imagine some people wont be able to afford 25 quid for the privilege.

Out of interest on the online booking system why is the only priced tickets available £24 +£1 booking fee? I was under the impression it cost £16/17 for a single match?
