  1. If Joe gets a team spot but Max doesn't I'd be disappointed with Leicester (although they are just trying to win) but also with the BSPL, should be a rule that you can't ride in all 3 leagues. After all of you're good enough for the Prem, must be too good for the NL right?
  2. The problem with using averages is it's easier for a rider with a 5 point ave to get a team place, even if he's been riding for 15 years & will never develop past that level, than for Perry in her s second season to get a team spot as he's improved "too much" I've often thought what if your average was divided by the amount of NL seasons you've raced? Something like after one season get 25% off your average, 2 seasons 20% off etc, after 6 years, no more reductions? Just a way for a rider like Perry only 16 not to miss out on a NL place because he developed too much too soon?
  3. It will be interesting to see who leads to Cubs team.
  4. Call me cynical, but is this what the BSPL had in mind, when they made the points limit for 2024, to assist with youth development?
  5. First news I've heard for the Cubs team in 2024 is no Max Perry. Thank You to Leicester Speedway Supporters’ club for my award and a fantastic evening. Sadly I will not be representing Leicester next season as my average has placed me out of a team spot, as I only found out last night, I am now without a NDL place for 2024 https://twitter.com/MaxPerryRacing5/status/1731373615092814042?t=bSexxJdbaF88icGq7_0AjA&s=19
  6. Does the Motocross events held at Kings Lynn count as motor racing on an SCB licenced track? Maybe they'll say because they've added jumps etc it's ok?
  7. Based on announced signings: 1. Ipswich (7) 2. Oxford (7) 3. Sheffield (7) 4. King's Lynn (7) 5. Leicester (4) 6. Birmingham (2) 7. Belle Vue (0)
  8. Good signing, one of the best riders on the league, despite always being able to somehow have a low average.
  9. Edinburgh didn't have a choice - to use a guest for Cook, they either need him to produce a sick line or declare he was "withholding his services". I don't think anyone is suggesting he should have to ride if he's unwell with mental health, more he should see a Doctor if he's unwell with mental health.
  10. Why? Apart from Oxford, no other team has named more than 2 riders.
  11. That's what I said "there are rules to stop riders messing around clubs"
  12. I find it interesting there are rules to stop riders messing around clubs, but not rules to stop clubs messing around the riders!
  13. You have a better memory than me
  14. I'd certainly expect him to, that's what happens when you sign a sub 7.00 rider as your second heat leader. But what Oxford lose in heats 13+15, they should gain in heats 12+14.
  15. I'll go for Scunfield Nathan Ablitt 8.49 Ryan Kinsley 7.67 Jamie Halder 4.58 Elliot Kelly 4.41 Joe Alcock 4.36 Josh Embleton 3.47 Senna Summers 3.00 Total 35.98
  16. I'll start with an attempted "sensible" team prediction Redcar Luke Harrison 6.86 Freddie Hodder 6.44 Ben Trigger 6.34 Archie Freeman 5.29 Joe Alcock 4.36 Luke Crang 3.61 Kyran Lyden 3.00 Total 35.90
  17. Welcome Redcar to the 3rd tier for the first time I believe? Let's use this page for predictions / comments etc.
  18. Assuming the team is as many predict, signing Jenkins at 6, would have allowed Aces to keep Wright instead of Blodorn!
  19. I've read Trigger will be at Redcar, just think this would be a better team. Until riders are officially announced, I'll continue with my predictions lol!
  20. Surely that would have been a good ruling for the Champ rather than the Prem?
  21. How about? Redcar Danny King 8.41 Charles Wright 7.80 Claus Vissing 6.24 Connor Bailey 5.23 Jason Edwards 4.55 Jake Mulford 3.06 Connor Coles 2.63 Total 37.92
  22. Looks like it will be the weakest reserve pairing (on paper) to me. gotta make sure they make use of the 75% reduction to Kemp's average & not do an Ipswich or King's Lynn & miss the points limit.
  23. One thing they have done is truly turn the NDL into a league for second teams of senior sides. Partly that's been happening anyway, as if you have 2 stand alone clubs wanting 12 home fixtures & 6 second teams wanting 6 home fixtures, what can you do? Have to go with the majority. The downside of this is the third tier has been a way for clubs to start at a lower financial level before stepping up to the Champ, off the top of my head Berwick, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Kent, Lakeside, Plymouth, Rye House, Scunthorpe, Somerset & Workington have either started at National / Conference etc or dropped down before stepping back up, this option will be less likely in the future, as it would cost a lot to build a stadium for 5 home meetings a year.
  24. I always got the impression they are talking about season ending averages, so assuming Joe T has never finished above 4.00 he could still race NL.
  25. I'm not sure if there will be enough quality, but I'm sure they'll find enough riders who want to race, just hope they can all turn the bikes safely etc. i.e the NDL shouldn't be the level where you learn to slide etc.
