  1. Newcastle have shown how hard it is to build a competitive team on a Sunday, with many riders preferring to race in Poland. Could work with a drop down to NL?
  2. Think Oxford did well to beat a Belle Vue side with a strong bottom end. Just think how strong they will be when Killeen come back though! Can they ride well enough to get into the top 2, while waiting for Killeen's return?
  3. As I predicted Belle Vue's reserves were far stronger, but you were correct that Oxfords top 5 would be too strong for the Colts. My prediction was closer though lol!
  4. Great start for Simon Lambert, has beaten Rowe, Newman & both Cooks. Should shut up the doubters lol!
  5. I wouldn't be in a rush to replace KK. I know he's been awful away, but at home he's got a 10+ average. Winning at home must be priority to keep the fans happy surely?
  6. Certainly don't think there will be much in it, but I'll just favour Oxford for a 4 point win.
  7. I'll predict Poole 52-38 Scunthorpe. Douglas should score plenty from 7 rides, add Allen & Mountain probably getting 6 rides each so Scuthorpe shouldn't get thrashed!
  8. I don't think it's a "risk" using r/r. Even if another rider gets injured & they lose - still gonna finish in the play-offs!
  9. Let's be honest Poole could've picked Stefan Nielsen & still beat Scunthorpe lol!
  10. Kent have strengthened up & got the bonus point over Berwick. So feel the Bullets could be wooden spoonists. I could be a close fight near the bottom though, as Berwick have shown they're competitive away from home.
  11. I agree, really prefer clubs to give other riders a chance in the NDL
  12. If you're worried about how much a 2.00 rider would cost, then I'd suggest don't sign him.
  13. Personally I would have gone with r/r. Poole are very strong at home, so i'd want to give my riders more track time / races / earnings etc.
  14. Totally agree with @Bagpuss I mean when Edinburgh thought they had Richie Worrall last year, but he left to go to Leicester, Edinburgh didn't get the hump & say we're not racing, so why would a rider (if that's what happened)?
  15. Think you'll be well off that score. For me Oxford's reserves could end up with 1 point from 8 rides. While Freddie Hodder gets double figures. I agree Oxford have a very strong top 3 & a very promising number 4. But think Belle Vue will heavily outscore Oxford at the bottom end. Should be an interesting meeting.
  16. Think I'm leaning towards a Belle Vue win. Much stronger at reserve!
  17. I understand the point you're trying to make, but any rider could get injured as it's a dangerous sport.
  18. Why does Hans "need to call it a day"? As long as he enjoys riding Speedway & a club is willing to sign him, why shouldn't he carry on? It's not like he's forced Peterborough to sign him, of they think they can be stronger without him, they have the option to replace him!
  19. While Joe T is a promising rider, he's still a Championship number 7. If there's Champ standard second strings available (which there are) I can't understand going for a weaker option, ditto Mulford at Belle Vue.
  20. A tad surprising, but maybe want to be a top NL heat leader before moving up?
  21. With r/r at 2 meaning Douglas in heat 8, I'd have been tempted to go with: Lawson at 2, Rowe at 3 & Ben Cook at 5. I'm expecting a big win, so don't think the Pirates have anything to worry about & gives Ben a shot at heat 13 to see how much he's improved!
  22. Not surprised r/r is at 2 (as pretty much everyone does it). But don't think it's wise in this instance, as it means the one Scorpion who has the ability to beat any Pirate, gets his extra ride against 2 of the weaker opposition riders. Although if Scunthorpe are expecting a drubbling & just want to make the score respectable, then it makes more sense to get a very likely 3 points in the heat 8 r/r slot.
  23. Very impressive ride by Hagon. Must be the next best 2.00 rider waiting for a Championship chance?
  24. Wolves 45-45 Ipswich. Witches win superheat.
  25. Peterborough to get their first win of the season. Panthers 48-42 Stars
