Dream debit for Ellis, but Northampton fans could be thinking "if we can't win, when Ellis scores 20" how many matches will we win?
-
Brilliant shout based on tonight's match 👏

Looked a pretty decent debut for Hook at Oxford.

Good point, I wouldn't stop my riders from guesting, but would rather they didn't ride for qualification rivals. Interestingly fans often point out the flaws with guests, but when it's their own team, never see them complain about using a guest, or say they'd rather ride with a junior instead? Of course that would put them at a disadvantage, unless it was the same rule for all.
-
Fair point, although as a general rule, I wouldn't mind my teams rider making a comeback as a guest. In this case helping Poole win doesn't harm Berwick, so I would welcome the guest booking.
-
I agree it's unlikely, but for Berwick to finish 4th, they need Glasgow to keep losing, so if I was a Berwick fan, would rather Morris didn't hurt his own clubs chances.
-
To me that sounds like they have options for signings, but are happy to use guests as they feel they are stronger (perhaps not for long) and want to find the best rider available (obviously). So I don't see why the BSPL should grant am extension of the guest facility for Bowes in this instance. For a heat leader, I can understand clubs struggling for a replacement, but for a reserve, when there's options (Fredriksen, Bowtell, Morley) 28 days is long enough. But this should be for all teams, not just Poole.

Agree with Fozzie, if I was a Berwick fan I'd be happy with Jordan testing himself out for Poole, if he's not fully fit, won't harm Berwick. But for Berwick's slim play-off hopes to stay alive, they need Glasgow to keep losing, so Morris could be helping knock his own team out of the play-off race (Glasgow look easier to catch than Edinburgh).

I agree there are far too many guests, maybe only allow guests for injuries, rather than riders missing matches due to racing abroad would be a start?
-
Only Howarth knows, although he may not be sure just now. He could say he's retired & come back, he could say he's taking a break & never come back. All Leicester & Glasgow can do is what's best for their clubs now.
-
Normally I'd agree it's daft guesting when it can hurt your team, but in this instance one of their play-off rivals will drop points. If Lawson helps Sheffield win, that's Lynn out of the play-off hunt, while even if Edwards helps Lynn to a home win, they're still a long way from finishing ahead of Ipswich. If I was a Witches fan I'd rather Sheffield won, so wouldn't mind Lawson guesting, but less keen on Edwards racing for Lynn.

not checked the averages yet, but don't understand why no-one wants Jonas Jeppesen?

Workington v Berwick 02/08/2026 Championship 3pm .

Having seen the clash on BSN, my first instinct was that it was a very poor from Morris, I guess Zischke did lock up a little to give Morris the benefit of the doubt that it was just racing, rather than reckless. KJP deserves imense credit for avoiding the fallen riders, well done to him. He certainly scrubbed off the speed, better than Morris did, yes I realise they were taking different lines. No suggestion of a ban from me, just the exclusion from the heat for Morris. -
Glasgow need a signing more than Scunthorpe did. Scunny could have used guests or r/r all season, but Glasgow only get a 28 day facility. Means there could be a situation where a rider leaves a club, but they can't sign a replacement & the facility runs out before the Important matches at the end of the season 🤔
-
I agree with the logic that a transfer should be allowed, but if the clubs don't plan for these situations & have to use guests till the end of the season, it's their fault!

Agree, wish they BSPL wouldn't so willingly accept riders missing British matches. If clubs don't mind as they get guests, remove (or limit) that option, hopefully clubs then look for riders who don't miss so many meetings. -

That was pretty amusing lol! I wish it wasn't the case though. -
Agree, especially at second tier level
-
Still an extra 2 matches though, just as finishing 4th would've been. Mind you Poole were big favourites last year when Redcar won the BSN series
-
Really? I don't remember seeing anyone say that.

I'm glad someone has said that 👏 -
Good chance of a BSN final to race though.
