What does an "inflated" average mean to you? I'm talking about Worrall's league performances in 2023, which is 2nd to NKI?
-
Totally agree with you, RW is 2nd in the 2023 averages behind NKI, problems with the team are elsewhere.

I've not seen KK so can't comment on his attitude when racing & 2.40 away from home is awful for a rider of his ability, however it's home matches that pay the bills, so if he's gonna help you win at home, keep him & hope he improves away.

For me as soon as Pickering got injured Lynn should have signed Craig Cook on a 28 day contract, then when Josh was for again, they'd have 7 riders for 6 places, drop the weakest & that's your new team?

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
szkocjasid replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Very early stage of the season but rising star averages for 2023 (league matches) J.Jenkins 4.00 (5) D.Thompson 3.64 (3) D.Gilkes 3.60 (3) L.Flint 3.33 (3) J.Edwards 2.80 (3) J.Thompson 1.54 (4) J.Mulford 1.27 (6) Leicester can have no complaints about Dan imo -
That is the most important bit, it's the fans who will declare if it seems VFM, based on how many turn up, not the promotion.
-
I don't understand why they're charging the full price for a Champ & NL match. There must be savings they can pass onto the fans. Stadium rental, travel expenses for riders in both matches etc, does the referee get double his fee? I know the fans "saving" would be not having to pay petrol twice, but not evey fan would choose to go to both meetings!
-
Tbh at the start of the season every club can call themselves a play-off hopeful, don't know if that means anything really!
-
They must be pleased to get to the next round of the KOC, as they only had one match in May!

I have to echo other comments, who would do better at Leicester than Dan T? -
Belle Vue v Leicester 1 May 12:00
szkocjasid replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Allen's average can't go below 4.00. Personally I'd be surprised if Leicester dropped a rider so early in the season, unless they know he's got a place lined up elsewhere (Peterborough?) -
Really depends how the other team line up, against Edinburgh number 4 is harder, against Belle Vue number 3 is harder!

I've been pretty close though! -

I can accept that explanation & agree with the statement "it was an off day" but certainly wouldn't say he was "awful" -
As it's a development league, would Watson not develop more racing at number 2 & if Phillips want to be a Champ rider again, should he not be proving himself at number 3? The riding order seems tactical to try & get as many points as possible (not that there's anything wrong with that) than rider development?

BERWICK v REDCAR (KO Cup) Saturday, April 1st
szkocjasid replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
This was the information from the Scunthorpe website ahead of their first match: Meanwhile, Scorpions head into the season one man down – Zaine Kennedy faces a spell on the sidelines after a mountain bike fall in his native Australian left him with broken bones in his back. Scorpions have been granted an initial 28-day-facility, with the possibility of an extension. -

Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see Scunny get an extension! I'm guessing that means Wolves will have to find a replacement for Becker too? Can't have different rules for different teams! -
Indeed, it's far easier to say replace someone, than name "sensible / realistic" replacement.

Ipswich V Kings Lynn May 1st
szkocjasid replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Going by the majority of comments I've read on here & updates, seems Lynn were unlucky in the first 2 heats. Without those refereeing decisions you're looking at a 49-41 scoreline - that's nothing to be ashamed of! -

I'd prefer to congratulate a British rider doing well than call it criminal? -

There's no point in letting them go unless you have stronger riders coming in. Which riders not racing in GB want to come over? -

10+1 for King was "awful"? -
Also depends on how many fans come in, Mildenhall need a competitive team to survive. While they want riders to develop, it's more important the club survives. For Berwick it's more important to develop the riders so they can go to Glasgow & Workington lol!
-
Problem with that is, what if Watson keeps in scoring 0 & there's Ben Rathbone waiting in the wings wanting a chance? Do they refuse to drop Watson because it's a development league, which also means Rathbone won't get to develop? Would they drop a 5 point Freeman for a 4 point Rathbone despite having 7 points to play with?

Pretty close on my prediction & correctly called Morris struggling at 5!
