Glasgow v Poole 20/5/22
szkocjasid replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not sure why that would be the case? Riders race for different teams in different countries, so a change in riding order shouldn't affect them much! -

If a referee has lots of re-starts fans complain he's trying to be the star of the show, no restarts & he has somewhere to be, sounds like refs can't win lol! -

Surely clubs can swap fixtures if they both agree to it? -
leicester lions already lost it ?

Not sure it's wise Rowe leaving Leicester. If he doesn't perform in Poland, won't get much racing if only at Ipswich (till they realise Hume is better)? -

Weren't Glasgow also missing Brennan & Basso for their last home meeting? They seen to race when they have riders missing, but have blank Fridays either side of these fixtures! 6th May - Brennan & Basso missing 13th May - no fixture 20th May - Brennan missing 27th May - no fixture -
At the moment you can use a guest at home with +5% added to their ave and a guest away up to their ave. Simple change would be at home use missing riders ave, away use missing riders ave -5%? It's easier to strengthen up away using "horses for courses". I have no issues with guests, but feel the biggest issue is team being stronger using guests!

No reason at all, just copying the stupid (in my view) SON rules from last few years!

Sheffield vs Wolves 19/05/22 LC

Is that not what normally happens when a rider is injured? He recovers! -
I can believe Newcastle are struggling to find a new number one (not needed in my view, as long as they're allowed guests) but find it hard to believe they can't get anyone stronger than Congreve, no offence meant to the lad, but he's clearly the weakest rider in the league & the obvious one to replace!

Plymouth Gladiators 2022

I must admit when I saw McGurk get 4 rides despite not scoring, I wondered what the Atkins camp made of that, given that apparently the reason for them leaving Plymouth was Henry not getting 4 rides? Almost makes me think May did it to spite them lol! -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022

"sensible guest options" Jason Edwards, Henry Atkins, Nathan Ablitt, Harry McGurk, Danny Phillips, Tom Woolley, Greg Blair, Luke Crang, Connor Coles, Tom Spencer, Nathan Stoneman, Jake Mulford, Alex Spooner, Sam McGurk & Joe Alcock. Plenty out there, not likely to score many, but neither was Kinsley tbh, so not a great loss to the teams strength in my view If they were going to sign an injury replacement I'd have gone with Jake Mulford! -
My point is, even if Sedgmen goes back to scoring 4/5 points a week, that's still far more than Congreve is scoring. By not strengthening up, it appears Newcastle have accepted another wooden spoon?
-
After Sedgmen's start for Birmingham, are we gonna get people admitting they were wrong? Imagine Sedgmen had replaced Congreve, pushing Wright to reserve - team would look quite decent!
-
It was certainly a waste using Wells as a TS to beat McGurk, who scored 0! Even if he beat Andersen, that's only 1 point gained compared to what a Berwick reserve would've done

Green Sheet Rolling Averages - Reducing in 2022

I don't see the point at all, of dropping rolling aves from 20 matches to 10 -
Berwick v Redcar Saturday 14/05/22 7pm
szkocjasid replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's so pointless making heat 8 a protected heat, unless number 7 has to be your weakest rider & not be allowed to be replaced as it is in the Prem (where the rule works). Best example is Scunny vs Plymouth: Palin & Lambert would get a protected heat 8 against Bowtell & Morley, but the far weaker Kingsley races against Barker & Palm Toft, which isn't a protected heat! -

My point is they wouldn't have got a 5-1 as Pijper didn't beat Andersen in heat 14. -
Suggestions to cover injuries next week (if needed) @ Plymouth Tom Brennan (6.40) for Leon Flint (6.43) Jye Etheridge r/r Zach Cook (4.39) for Ty Proctor (4.92) @ Poole Leon Flint r/r Benjamin Basso (5.69) for Jye Etheridge (5.87) Or if Basso's riding in Denmark Danyon Hume (5.24) for Jye Etheridge (5.87) Dan (4.45) or Joe T (4.29) for Ty Proctor (4.92)

Would've made no difference, if Morris had won heat 14, a 4-2 heat advantage would still have left Berwick 4 points down after heat 14. -

I heard Plymouth's facility to replace Atkins has ended, so why have Belle Vue still got a facility to replace JPB?
