  1. My point is, even if Sedgmen goes back to scoring 4/5 points a week, that's still far more than Congreve is scoring. By not strengthening up, it appears Newcastle have accepted another wooden spoon?
  2. After Sedgmen's start for Birmingham, are we gonna get people admitting they were wrong? Imagine Sedgmen had replaced Congreve, pushing Wright to reserve - team would look quite decent!
  3. It was certainly a waste using Wells as a TS to beat McGurk, who scored 0! Even if he beat Andersen, that's only 1 point gained compared to what a Berwick reserve would've done
  4. I don't see the point at all, of dropping rolling aves from 20 matches to 10
  5. It's so pointless making heat 8 a protected heat, unless number 7 has to be your weakest rider & not be allowed to be replaced as it is in the Prem (where the rule works). Best example is Scunny vs Plymouth: Palin & Lambert would get a protected heat 8 against Bowtell & Morley, but the far weaker Kingsley races against Barker & Palm Toft, which isn't a protected heat!
  6. It wasn't a youth meeting, it was a senior meeting, so you should put out your strongest team to win. That being said, shows the team manager can't have much faith in Brennan's ability, not giving Brennan a race instead of Ellis or Harris!
  7. Gotcha, but I kinda expect 2 Brits to be in the GP in 2023, so the 2 highest finishing Brits could well be seeded?
  8. My point is they wouldn't have got a 5-1 as Pijper didn't beat Andersen in heat 14.
  9. Suggestions to cover injuries next week (if needed) @ Plymouth Tom Brennan (6.40) for Leon Flint (6.43) Jye Etheridge r/r Zach Cook (4.39) for Ty Proctor (4.92) @ Poole Leon Flint r/r Benjamin Basso (5.69) for Jye Etheridge (5.87) Or if Basso's riding in Denmark Danyon Hume (5.24) for Jye Etheridge (5.87) Dan (4.45) or Joe T (4.29) for Ty Proctor (4.92)
  10. Would've made no difference, if Morris had won heat 14, a 4-2 heat advantage would still have left Berwick 4 points down after heat 14.
  11. I think the opposite, wether he deserves a spot or not, I reckon Woffy would be 90% sure of a wild card if he finishes in the top 12!
  12. I heard Plymouth's facility to replace Atkins has ended, so why have Belle Vue still got a facility to replace JPB?
  13. Pre-season I expected the Colts to win almost everywhere, but so far they've not been good away from home. Hard to know how Leicester will so having no current form to judge them on!
  14. I don't believe anything I read on here, until I see it on an official site
  15. If it's illegal to discriminate against age in "normal" jobs must be in speedway too! Best way to do it, is invite highest averaged riders, regardless of age
  16. Very few teams change their riding order once they decided on it. There's no reason why a TM can't move the riding order around based on their opponents. That being said, Bowtell has been scoring well at home, no not really a weak pairing imo
  17. Heat 15 did matter, Witches could've gained 4 points!
  18. Well 1) Brennan must've been fit enough to race based on his score 2) Aces would've won even with Bailey riding!
  19. After 2 matches Basso has a 4.73 ave, current 20 match rolling aves for Andersen is 6.75 & Nicholls 6.56!
  20. Should Aces have given Bailey a shot tonight? I know Brennan is happy to race, but if he's not 100% fit, could give a squad member a go?
  21. If Rowe is ill does he not have to take a 10 day break for a "non speedway injury"? If so, just use Hume & don't announce Rowe is ill! Actually there's no advantage to saying Rowe is ill, just announce / tell Hume you're giving him a shot because you have faith in his ability / form. Would do far more for his confidence than saying "we're only using you because Rowe is ill".
