Riders who don't have a team CAN'T guest for others, which makes no sense to me. But hey that's British Speedway for you! Edit: at first I thought you meant shared around as guests, or do you mean as permanent signings?
-
Personally I'd go for Complin in place of Roynon. He's actually scored well enough away (4.67), just at Brough Park he was struggling (2.24)!
-
Killeen scored what I expected tonight (0 points) you can't compare racing against a very weak (4 reserves) NL side to Glasgow possibly the most solid Champ side.
-
Couldn't take Wright as a straight swap for Fredriksen, would have to be part of a double change.
-
Actually it was Monday & Wednesday, with Swindon to race on some Thursdays
-
Don't know how long Monarchs injured riders are out for, but Wright & Bickley would fit to replace Fredriksen & Sarjeant! Edinburgh 41.73 Sam Masters 9.41 Josh Pickering 7.53 Kye Thomson 6.17 Paco Castagna 5.84 James Wright 5.06 Jacob Hook 4.00 Kyle Bickley 3.72

Plymouth Gladiators 2022
szkocjasid replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Plymouth well above the points limit (43.00) so Starke for Kennett only leaves 3.12 available to replace McGurk. Better sticking with guests for Kennett imo -
Sign Paul Starke for James Pearson & the team looks a lot stronger! Birmingham 41.89 Claus Vissing 7.61 Josh Auty 7.35 Justin Sedgmen 6.51 Paul Starke 6.27 Ashley Morris 5.09 Stefan Nielsen 4.63 James Shanes 4.43

With clubs having less fixtures this season, you'd think they'd be keen on running the Fours.
-
Which shows how the rule would be flawed, but have read it's no longer in place!
-
Another rule dropped after only one season?
-
They were all number 8s, Edwards would be a RS

Can't see where the away wins are going to come from, for that to happen -
Should mean Edwards having to give up his NL spot with Mildenhall. That's what happened to Leon Flint last year!

The "Polish commitments" comment when dropping Smith, was obviously an attempt to be kind to the rider. Rather than saying "he was so bad, we had to drop him after one meeting". Racing in the U24 league wouldn't stop him racing in the Champ. A more honest announcement would probably be, "we don't like to drop a rider after only ONE match, but when the opportunity arose to strengthen up by signing Bickley we couldn't afford to miss out. Thanks to Jack for his efforts etc"
-
If every top rider at the start of 2021 got together & agreed not to sign for the Polish Extraliga, the PZM would either have had to change the rules or run with a Div 1 stronger than the top tier. The riders could all have agreed if PZM don't back down, we'll sign out contracts on the last possible day - so they didn't risk losing out in the high wages! But why would the PZM ever change their stance now? Riders have said they don't agree with it, but still willingly sign.
-
This is the part clubs & riders fail to mention when complaining about the restrictive Polish contracts!

Kemp is averaging almost 2 points above his starting average, while Bickley has fallen slightly he's much the same standard as last year. Palin definitely fallen more than the others. -

Very likely wooden spoon for Armadale this year. Should at least beat Plymouth at home to avoid ending up with zero points! -

Got the 7th highest 2022 ave in the league, so can't be doing that bad? -

With Glasgow guaranteed a play-off spot, there's no reason why they can't experiment with the riding order. Got nothing to lose! -

What has happened to Jordan Palin? Kennedy started at reserve & scored lots, Lambert dropped to reserve & scored even more. Now Palin at reserve & scoring no better? -
Seeing how his form has dropped sharply, I think Glasgow made a mistake leaving Bailey at 7 once he was the highest averaged reserve, same with Joe Thompson at Leicester. Moving them to 6, with the weaker reserves (Nicol & Rowe) to 7, would have given them harder rides to prepare them for the jump into the top 5! Also could've meant it'd take longer for them to move out of the reserve berth, so once they finally moved into the top 5, they'd be more ready for it? Bailey & Thompson's current low scores certainly aren't helping their teams or the riders confidence you'd think? Also Nicol going to no 7 earlier, should help him score more points & find his form sooner!

Ostergaard hasn't ridden at 5 this year, so can't say he wasn't cutting it there!
