  1. Why look for a replacement? Same situation as Plymouth, team will be far stronger using guests for as long as possible!
  2. Unless all Championship teams build to Newcastle strength & have a clear gap between Prem & Champ! Also make it easier for NDL riders to step up!
  3. I don't think it's convenient at all, as it's a challenge match I'm sure Newcastle would rather BWD was able to get race fit ahead of the league campaign. If it was a league match I'd agree with you, very convenient!
  4. Looked what happened to Jason Edwards, he was given the easier number 7 spot & scored more points than his first meeting. Also didn't hinder Jordan Jenkins racing in the tougher number 6 spot!
  5. I think Berwick will score more than they did at Armadale
  6. For a lot of clubs just reaching the play-offs is considered a successful season!
  7. Nope, I just rate Plymouth as a good team!
  8. Don't agree with the comment that Plymouth have a strong top 3, they clearly have a strong top 4! Although not against Poole!
  9. I'll go for: Poole 53-37 Plymouth I'll change it to 51-39 now Plymouth have Harris!
  10. When I was thinking of the Plymouth v Poole match, I realised I had already predicted Ple somehow!
  11. Well as cup matches don't count for averages, Gilkes could still be at reserve for May!
  12. Totally agree, a paid win is just as good as a heat win, or better still, as it means you've gained a 5-1!
  13. Not sure why I keep reading about Newcastle facing a "strong" Stoke side? Steve Worrall (9.05) James Sarjeant (4.08) Ricky Wells (6.59) Leon Flint (5.89) Ben Barker (6.87) Connor Coles (2.00) Joe Alcock (2.00) Total: 36.48 That team average is well below the Championship 42.00 limit. Does makes sense for Newcastle to start off against a "weak" side to gain confidence ahead of official matches, but they'll certainly find it tougher from now on!
  14. I think Lynn are stronger than Ipswich & don't expect anything other than a 3-0 win!
  15. After the loss against Sheffield, I feel my point is correct lol!
  16. After seeing Basso score paid 14 for Peterborough, Glasgow must be delighted with their new signing!
  17. 2022 Rolling Averages are calculated including 2019, 2021 and 2022 results to a maximum number of 20 matches (from Speedway GB website) BWD last rode in the Champ in 2018, won't doesn't have any previous matches to add for a rolling ave.
  18. BWD getting a lower ave won't help Newcastle though! They already built a team well below the points limit, so if they wanted to & the riders are available, could strengthen up the team anytime!
