  1. The Cook's & Kemp could move up & down throughout the season!
  2. I'd disagree with your assessment of James Chattin, he's hardly had any chances at NL, only a few guest booking & never had a permanent position.
  3. Great signing, with a big top 2 can afford to fill the bottom end with more 3.00 riders!
  4. Not sure what I make of the Oxford reserve signings, wouldn't call them strong - 2 riders who couldn't reach the minimum 4.00 for foreigners. But also not weak - they weren't far behind. A tad disappointed they've got a NDL team but not using a British rider to double up in both sides, such as Jake Mulford!
  5. Theres not a lot of NDL standard talent out there waiting to be signed, so could struggle for a "competitive" team. But putting a team together is easy, just pick 5 x 3.00 men & lose each week (save on points money).
  6. Can't imagine there will be many doubters, looks the strongest team by far imo!
  7. Very good point, put 4 x 8/9 point riders in heat 13 & 15 and they will only score 12 points over 8 rides (6.00 ave) so King is bound to have a lower ave in these heats!
  8. I think the RS system worked too well, most of the reserves are now second strings, so to keep the RS system would mean moving up the next bunch on prospects, who are far weaker & Champ sides don't want to weaken their league!
  9. Racing in all 3 leagues would certainly suit the rider in question, but I think it's a shame if some riders can't get a team or only have one team, while others have 3. My other thought is, if you're good enough for the Prem you're too good for the NDL!
  10. Both Gilkes & D Thompson are still very inexperienced having ridden only 1 season at Champ level, so they are clearly still "developing" is that not what the NDL is for? Just because a rider is good doesn't mean he shouldn't race in NDL imo. I guess you could argue any U21 rider should be allowed to stay in the NDL (if they want to)?
  11. RTD may be in the team, but I think it would be alongside Rothery & the 2 Millars rather than replacing them.
  12. I personally don't see Armadale replacing a 3.00 local rider for a 5.00 man who travels for home meetings.
  13. Comments from the Luke Crang signing by Berwick: "Ladies and Gentlemen Luke Crang is back at Shielfield Park as a Grant Henderson Tankers Bullet for 2022 and he is determined to exchange last season’s silver medal for gold this year!" Luke adds: "I have every belief that this side has got what it takes to win the league" Obviously the riders want to win the league!
  14. Looks a strong top 3, but has a very long tail with 4 x reserves.
  15. Only have to finish 6th out of 11, then come good in the play-offs, so an average team could become champions. Tough for Castagna to become HL in my view after being at reserve for Birmingham. I'd expect Thompson to be 3rd HL on a 6.3 ave.
  16. I think Starke has room for improvement, he only rode part of the season for Ipswich & also impressed for Kent. So a full season in both league could help. When Doyle last rode in the UK, the league was a lot weaker. While his GP form may have fallen, doesn't mean he can't beat all the top riders in Britain. Id expect him to be able to average 10.00!
  17. Probably because they built a team 1.6 under the points limit!
  18. Coles should be a minimum of a 7.0 man in the NL, so if he can ride to his potential should be a great signing! That being said, he must be on a 6.0 ave for a reason, which in the weakest NL ever wasn't a great achievement for him!
  19. Can't see Ipswich anywhere near the top, at the moment they look a very weak team. If Batchelor, Riss & Heeps improve I'd say it's possible they could make the top 4, but not finish top.
  20. If true, what about Wolves having 2 x RS? Also even if the RS has to ride at 7, what's to stop the team manager swapping them round during the match?
  21. Trying to find my preferred riding order. But whatever way I put it I can't help think that Ipswich are obvious wooden spoon candidates! Home 1. Jason Doyle 2. Cameron Heeps 3. Erik Riss 4. Troy Batchelor 5. Danny King 6. Anders Rowe 7. Paul Starke Away 1. Jason Doyle 2. Cameron Heeps 3. Troy Batchelor 4. Erik Riss 5. Danny King 6. Paul Starke 7. Anders Rowe
  22. My conscience always makes me put the stronger reserve at 6!
  23. My choice of riding order Home 1. Ryan Douglas 2. Jordan Palin 3. Jake Allen 4. Simon Lambert 5. Tero Aarnio 6. Zane Kennedy 7. Ryan Kinsley Away 1. Ryan Douglas 2. Jordan Palin 3. Simon Lambert 4. Tero Aarnio 5. Jake Allen 6. Zane Kennedy 7. Ryan Kinsley
  24. Here's a team that allows Mickie Simpson to start at reserve. Leicester 2022? Dan Thompson 10.17 Joe Thompson 8.52 Tom Spencer 5.53 Josh Embleton 4.83 Jacob Clouting 4.30 Mickie Simpson 3.62 An Other 3.00 Total 39.97
