I believe Oxford's NL rider Luke Killeen has joined them on loan from Wolverhampton?
-
Second string in the Prem & reserve in the Champ. Bandits seem to have made a more shrewd signing than the Aces!
-
While the Brummies only have 6 riders signed, not many will place them above bottom.
-
Josh Pickering replacing Erik Riss Iversen / Kildemand replacing Ben Barker Richie Worrall replacing Kasper Andersen Jack Thomas replacing Connor Mountain How is that not far stronger than the wooden spoon team of 2021?

2022 championship predictions
szkocjasid replied to Jaizer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
My latest predictions: Poole Glasgow Leicester Oxford Redcar Plymouth Berwick Edinburgh Scunthorpe Newcastle Birmingham -
Despite Batchelor having a poor season at Sheffield, he's still stronger than Riss & Heeps though!
-
Don't worry, Ipswich won't get 6 points up too often lol!
-
1) Jason Doyle 2) Cameron Heeps 3) Troy Batchelor 4) Erik Riss 5) Danny King 6) Paul Starke 7) Anders Rowe
-
And King's Lynn, they're certainly stronger than last year!
-
I disagree, Lynn are probably the best placed team in the league to cope with injuries, having a strong reserve in Worrall! Very useful if having to use r/r at all!
-
Great news for Birmingham to have a decent heat leader now with Vissing!

Just need a lower points limit, bring back the "rising stars" and there will be enough riders to go around! -

Kennet miles better than Keleher imo. But Keleher may be the best of the rest available now! -
I'm sure Kennett won't be at Birmingham, but if he was available as an 8.5 rider, who will score a 6.5 ave, I'd snap him up in a heartbeat. Certainly better than a 4.00 newcomer, who may not reach his ave!
-
He was sensational as a 15/16 year old. Not sure why he didn't have a stronger career?
-
Birmingham have spoken often about building a team to reach the play-offs, so I can see the fans being very underwhelmed when the side is finalised.
-
The 2022 Premiership is a weaker league than the 2013 Elite League, so he'll likely do better this time around!
-
If Birmingham had 3.00 left for a number 7, Smith wouldn't be a bad option, but needing 3 stronger riders, I wouldn't go near him!

Complin not a gamble on a 4.00 ave, more of a waste of using the 6+ available points for Newcastle's last rider! Congreve could certainly be a gamble! -

But replace Congreve with a stronger rider & instead of "only losing a point" Newcastle could gain 2 points! -
Number 8 for each team and Junior League

I've read clubs stating the number 8 will be at each match, Wolves I'm sure said that for example! -

If Complin is on a 4.00 ave, Newcastle have wasted any potential improvement on that figure by building a team nearly 3 points below the limit! -
Number 8 for each team and Junior League

Less than half the Prem matches will have PJL meetings after, so there is a good chance of number 8's sitting in the pits & not getting rides!
