  1. The big difference is those young Brits scored points for their teams last year, no offence to Freeman but he was the worst rider in the league! Not blaming him - he was put into the Champ before he had mastered the NDL so couldn't be expected to score points!
  2. I've just noticed that as Lawson signed on 31/5 he did don't have a new Champ ave, maybe he would've got a converted ave if he signed on 1/6?
  3. They convert averages when going Prem - Champ, so unless the rules are different for going the other way, they must convert aves when going from Champ - Prem? I noticed Adam Ellis used a converted ave, when signing for Scunthorpe after the season started, but Richard Lawson didn't when signing for King's Lynn - a tad confusing! Why would Ellis get his Prem ave converted & Lawson not get his Champ ave converted, when their situations are identical?
  4. No they don't, Adam Ellis had a Champ & Prem ave from 2019, but signed for Scunthorpe on a converted Prem ave! Unless they rules are different for moving up compared to dropping down?
  5. If Rowe misses the start of the Prem season, he'd then come in on a converted Champ ave (3.00) & be more valuable to teams / able to ask for a better deal?
  6. How about every team races home & away twice, then 6th drops out, remaining 5 race home & away again - 5th drops out, remaining 4 race again etc. Minimum 10 home matches, maximum 20 home matches! Won't happen I know, but would be something different!
  7. Best option would be to sign 6 riders & leave 3.00 available for An Other! Sign Anders Rowe (4.35) but keep it a secret so he starts the season in Champ only! Then sign him up after Championship has started on his converted ave 3.99 / 1.5 = minimum 3.00 ave! When his rolling ave kicks in 4.35 drop him for Jye Etheridge, who also only started in the Champ on his converted ave 5.35 / 1.5 = minimum 4.00 ave. When Etheridge's rolling ave kicks in (5.22) drop him for Michael P Toft, who also only started in the Champ on his converted ave 7.33 / 1.5 = 4.89. End up with Palm Toft on his (7.17) rolling ave, instead of the 3.00 used to build your team! Only have to finish 4th out of 6 to make play-offs, so don't have to worry about starting off weaker! I know this won't happen, but does show how current regulations can easily be manipulated without breaking any rules!
  8. Not unless the rules have changed, riders were on 2.00 averages this year!
  9. Well my "sensible" option wasn't liked lol!
  10. Looking for a stronger top end lol! Belle Vue Jason Doyle 8.96 Max Fricke 8.81 Chris Harris 6.84 Steve Worrall 5.94 Richie Worrall 5.37 Jordan Palin 3.00 Tom Brennan RS Total 38.92
  11. How about NBJ to complete the team? Newcastle 2022? Bradley W-Dean 8.21 Nikolaj B Jakobsen 6.34 Matthew Wethers 6.47 Paul Starke 6.47 Max Clegg 5.27 James Wright 5.07 George Congreve 4.00 Total 41.83
  12. Maybe the majority didn't rate Peterborough, but I certainly did, so you can't say "nobody" gave them a chance! As for Newcastle, I don't think the team looks strong, but if I was a Newcastle fan I'd just be happy to still have Speedway!
  13. This team fits! Edinburgh 2022? Sam Masters 9.41 Josh Pickering 8.34 Richie Worrall 7.76 Kye Thompson 5.51 Cameron Heeps 4.95 Drew Kemp 3.72 Jason Edwards 2.11 Total 41.80
  14. It's a little lower when adding his last 2 Birmingham matches from 2019! 3.52 after reduction I believe!
  15. I think it'll be even harder for any NDL riders looking to step up this year, with a 42 limit I can see lots of strong reserves, so new 2.00 men will find it very tough!
  16. It's impossible to suggest there is a simple system for picking a league winning team, Glasgow only had one rider above 7 after Ulrich got injured & finished 2nd, whereas Leicester had 4 x 8.00 riders but finished below them! Berwick always had one strong reserve Flint / Andersen but finished near the bottom, while Edinburgh till Kemp signed always had a reserve who scored very little finished in the top 5!
  17. I agree, the "rising stars" in the Prem makes a bigger difference to bringing on Brits imo
  18. Why not add some constructive criticism, instead of just saying no, who would you prefer?
  19. How about? Belle Vue Max Fricke 8.81 Brady Kurtz 7.35 Steve Worrall 5.94 Charles Wright 5.92 Troy Batchelor 5.57 Richie Worrall 5.37 Tom Brennan RS Total 38.96
  20. Picked 6 riders, then see who's available under the 4.70 remaining! Personally I rate Morris!
  21. As both Thompson's started on 2.00 or 1* averages, even when they weren't scoring well - that was too be expected! As they are Leicester assets I'd keep them both even if it makes the team weaker!
  22. Leicester (6.78 left) Nick Morris 8.61 Kyle Howarth 7.52 Jye Etheridge 5.35 Connor Mountain 5.06 Dan Thompson 5.03 Joe Thompson 3.65 Total 35.22
  23. I certainly enjoy making up teams, but not knowing the final averages does take the fun out a bit!
