  1. While Palin may be a good prospect for the future, I'm positive Bates will be the stronger rider in 2021!
  2. Well the worst idea would be joining the Polish or Russian leagues, so I stand by my statement!
  3. Looking at the riders left available, I'd say Nicholls & Ostergaard would be best options for Peterborough!
  4. Personally I think the team looks pretty weak on paper, they just have to hope the other 7 teams are equally as weak!
  5. Me too, but until a rider officially signs I'll use them in my potential teams!
  6. How about? 1 Jack P Blackburn 8.66 2 Connor Coles 7.43 3 Henry Atkins 5.86 4 Ben Woodhull 3.67 5 Paul Bowen 3.36 6 Harry McGurk 3.00 7 An Other 3.00 Total 34.98
  7. It'd be pretty harsh to drop a couple of riders this close to the season starting!
  8. I think you're underestimating Pijper, I reckon he'll do well for the Scorpions!
  9. If they don't make changes will be a fight to avoid the wooden spoon imo!
  10. If Ellis was only going to race in one league in Britain it was always gonna be the Premiership over the Championship!
  11. Personally I think they look very weak, best chance is if all 8 teams look weak!
  12. How about? 1 Connor Bailey 7.64 2 Connor Coles 7.43 3 Jack Smith 6.50 4 Ben Woodhull 3.67 5 Paul Bowen 3.36 6 Harry McGurk 3.00 7 An Other 3.00 (3.40 remaining) Total 34.60
  13. The team that tops the table could win the Craven Shield!
  14. Each week in the Speedway Star's on & off track questions riders are asked what they would change in the sport, they often have very little or nothing they want changed! It's a worry if no-one has any idea how to improve the sport or worse still that the sport doesn't need improving!
  15. In normal circumstances I'd say the Belle Vue team lacks heat winners, but has strength in depth! But with a weakened league & no go riders in sight, they could have 5 heat leaders & I expect them to make the play-offs!
  16. What's wrong with Tero Aarnio, I'd be happy to have him in my team!
  17. Jamie Halder (4.63) would fit in that team!
  18. Team only fits with Blair on a 4.94 ave (or less). Seems a big reduction in his average!
  19. The average for each team should be about 42 at the end of each season, which is a 7 point rise, so "statistically" every rider should increase his average by one point! So you'd need to look at riders who increase they're average by more than one point as genuine improvers! However will that mean they have really improved or just that the league is weaker?
  20. I don't think this would work at all, in 2019 there were 15 riders on 8+ averages & another 4 on 7+. I can't see the Championship clubs bringing on 19 new riders each season, so all that would happen is promising riders being lost to the sport!
  21. Bebee could certainly score well in a weak league if he can stay injury free, meanwhile Butcher who hasn't been a great scorer did start to score better for Plymouth in 2019!
  22. That's not the worst idea!
