Are Sheffiedl not announcing their 1-7 on Wednesday 1st December? I think that you will find most teams have a minimum of 5 riders signed, while some teams have clearly had their 1-7 signed for a while and are just timing their announcements to get maximum media exposure.

I like the way the team has been developing with the first four signings. Not sure why Rowe is a left field name. Based on my experience at a couple of Team GB training days earlier in the season I would rank Rowe behind Flint & Brennan but ahead of Palin and everyone else.

Or maybe to do with the Bates owning Leicester & Sheffield.

It gets my vote but only works if the Start Marshal gets all riders to start within 75mm of the tapes. This makes it much harder for a rider to roll but I think most SM's are more interested in being a riders mate rather than discharging their responsibility.

One obvious way to reduced the level of unsatisfactory starts would be for the majority of start marshals to grow a pair and get riders (home and away) to start within 75mm of the tapes. Its much harder for them to roll if they are closer to the tapes.

Average to high, not allowed as in a play off team & average to high.

I agree which is why I've boned up on Golden Heats in the rule book.
