  1. LINE-UPS have been declared for a huge night of Sports Insure Premiership action at the Pidcock Motorcyles Arena, Beaumont Park on Thursday. The Watling JCB Lions take on Ipswich with three league points up for grabs after the Witches secured a narrow 47-43 victory in the reverse fixture at Foxhall. The Lions track Drew Kemp as a guest at reserve in the Rising Star berth as Dan Thompson is still serving his mandatory period of absence due to concussion. LEICESTER 1 Max Fricke 8.32 2 Justin Sedgmen 5.35 3 Richard Lawson 7.54 4 Chris Harris (c) 7.45 5 Nick Morris 6.69 6 Jake Allen (r) 4.00 7 Drew Kemp (g) (r) RS TM Stewart Dickson IPSWICH 1 Jason Doyle 10.15 2 Ben Barker 4.42 3 Danny King (c) 6.71 4 Keynan Rew 5.00* 5 Emil Sayfutdinov 8.00* 6 Danyon Hume (r) 3.93 7 Joe Thompson (r) RS TM Ritchie Hawkins
  2. It is the same 2 minute rule as per FIM, with the addition of being under power and heading to the startline. The riders are allowed two minutes (and they know this). I think the Start Marshals at Leicester start to call the riders up to the tapes after 90 seconds. Both have timers on their wrists as you can see them looking at them while they are waiting for the riders. They also call them in in gate order only moving onto B once happy with the position of A.
  3. This looks like it should be a cracker with the line-ups having been declared for Monday's big Sports Insure Premiership clash between the Watling JCB Lions and Sheffield at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park. The teams will line up as follows: LEICESTER 1. Max Fricke 8.27 2. Justin Sedgmen 4.98 3. Richard Lawson 7.71 4. Chris Harris (c) 7.64 5. Nick Morris 6.71 6. Jake Allen 4.00 7. Dan Thompson RS TM Stewart Dickson SHEFFIELD 1. Jack Holder 8.20 2. Kyle Howarth (c) 5.40 3. David Bellego 5.80 4. Tobiasz Musielak 8.07 5. Adam Ellis 6.33 6. Lewis Kerr 5.27 7. Dan Gilkes RS TM Simon Stead The action gets underway on Monday at 7.30pm.
  4. No as riders had clutch, carb and chain issues last night.
  5. Yes you can pay on card at the ticket office and their isnt a surcharge. You just pay face value. I have just checked this with Jen the General Manager.
  6. Its had alot of work with a motorway blade but that has had no impact on the shape or size.
  7. No change to the track size or shape for the start of the season. All the work has been in the in field putting in improved drainage with much bigger capacity.
  8. Because they will get more attractive viewing figures, (and therefore) higher ad revenue across Europe by showing Fencing, Cross Country Skiing, Figure Skating and Cycling.
  9. Suits this season are £700+VAT if from a UK supplier
  10. I understand that but at that stage the ref should exclude them for rolling at the start. When we had the second line that was meant to be beneath the front wheel spindle that appeared to reduce rolling quite alot but it was scrapped after one season.
  11. If UK Start Marshals a) knew the rules & b) tried to enforce them then their would be alot less moving at the starts. Riders are meant to start with 75mm of the tapes, many are not even within 75cm.
  12. According to the programme freom the last home meeting Dan's away average was 4.29
  13. I suspect come the end of the season that signing will actually make Redcar stronger.
  14. No. The boards are there to stop the track falling away. Its to keep the integrity of the outside edge of the track.
  15. The size and shape of the track has not been changed. We have just been carrying out repairs and maintenance.
  16. I believe this is the case, so there could be a better combo of riders for the final two that makes better use of the points available.
  17. Cannot see Coles happening as he has signed for Berwick in the CL who are a Saturday night club
  18. I heard he is sat on your sofa with a cup of tea and a bacon butty as I type...
  19. I would add to this, a rider who moves club's and away average is higher than his home average was in the previous season, plus to a lesser extent, a rider who rode as a heat leader in the previous season but you sign for a second string spot.
  20. Not everyone has an owner where they are able to put a Marketing Manager on their books and let them work on the clubs marketing as Glasgow have done in the past.
  21. And the key one based on the initial press release of not having to go up against the SGP, City or Tigers being televised on Saturday late afternoon/evening which dented attendance.
