  1. When do you suggest Leicester race? Saturday is their regular race night. The season ends on the 31st October. That leaves three Saturdays, 16th, 23rd & 30th. If they decided to run the Semi on the 16th & progress to the final they could run that on the 23rd & then have the Colts at home on the 30th as the Cubs still have a meeting to Schedule or have the 30th for a rain off date and run the cubs on the Sunday (final day of the season).
  2. Mais rappelez-vous, M. Potato, quand un fan de speedway laisse-t-il des faits entraver son argumentation ? Toutes mes excuses pour les pauvres français.
  3. Wow you found out before the club. I was stood next to Alan Jones, just by the green container in the pits when he took the call at 18;45 from the paramedic saying that they had broken down.
  4. I'm game for a 75 minute meeting if the ref is........
  5. With only Plymouth, Berwick & Kent not racing then he was the best available.
  6. Any bus going to the Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre, (route 14a) will be your best bet from the City Centre. They run every 20 minutes on a Saturday leaving the Haymarket Bus Station stand HG @ 05, 25 & 45 past the hour. Transit time is 33 mins. Its then a ten minute walk across the shopping centre car park to the track. Getting back the busses leave the shopping centre at 21:13 & 22:13 depending on the finish time. Taxi's easy to pick up in the CC and take a firms number for the return journey. I hope this is of help and if you make it down come along to the startline and say Hello. Depends on if you want a few drinks but drive would be easier IMHO.
  7. But the lLeicester website has Sedgeman in the Glasgow team for Saturday... IGNORE THIS! - I didnt look at the date and it was for the rained off fixture on the 19th August. Sorry for any confusion my post may have caused.
  8. So if its two divisions (plus the NDL) you have a Champtionship No1. If divisions are merged, so its one professional league and an NDL you have a No1. Err no brainer IMHO. He rides Plymouth well, and whatever pans out in the Winter the club have secured a Number 1 for next year. Well done to all concerned.
  9. Correct, Worral for Saturday and Summers on Friday away at Scunny.
  10. I had no intention of argueing, especially the toss, just showing you the relevant section from the rule book regarding track certification. It's eight plus pages so I dont have the time to upload it onto here.
  11. It's rather complex to explain. Pop alone to the start line between 6:30-7:15 tomorrow night & I will explain if you are at the Plymouth meeting.
  12. 1. It takes us over half a day to put up the airfence 2. Because the safety certificate is for the airfence not each individual panel.
  13. Not if the changes have already been registered at the BSPA, and are awaiting approval
  14. I think you will find he is going further South rather than North.
  15. I’m hearing that Eastbourne are now allowing their riders to talk to other clubs although 3 of their riders have apparently already done deals with clubs , Up north they have been very busy with maybe 2/3 changes happening and a surprise exit with a 4th one now appealing to a club to give him a job which would result in another rider losing his team spot It's going to get interesting over the next two days.
  16. Drove to Glasgow on Friday for a meeting. Drove back Saturday (8hrs+) to Leicester. Didnt see a meeting. And both rain offs were the right decision at the time they were made. The forecast was bloody awful (weather warnings on all weather apps for LE4 on Satrurday) when the decision was made and I would rather have the opportunity to make other plans rather than stand in the drizzle, watch second rate racing (due to track conditions) and possibly see a rider pick up an unnessary injury. But the one that I really hate, is the scrape to Heat Ten and get a result declaired on a track that should never be raced on. Remember you go to a meeting for a nights entertainment.
  17. OK, so what you are suggesting is that The Gaffer drives 323 miles to the track, stands on Bend Two and then calls the meeting off based on the forecast. Also I type as someone who drove to Glasgow for the Friday night meeting and it was called off. It was the correct decision based on the forecast. It looked horrible in Glasgow from 5pm onwards but the heavy rain did not happen until 22:20 when I was walking back from Mr Singhs India.
  18. So you put more water on the track and it goes like ice. Nothing to hold the bike up. Therefore, you are advocating letting riders race on a more dangerous track but its all OK if the fans are happy.
  19. So the club gets a guaranteed income stream through rent. This makes budgeting easier. And the vendor in the shop takes all the risk having to pay rent "upfront" and carries the risk of having stock left at the end of the season. It would appear a no brainer to me that the club made the decision not to sell merch because that is financially in the best interest of the club. Remember, the Bates run Leicester as a business so would weigh up risk & reward before making any decisions.
  20. No he would'nt, he really appears to struggle to get around Leicester.
  21. Look over the last month and compare it to the first month of the season and the change in form especially away from home.
