Berwick V Edinburgh 30th March @ 7pm
DSC67 replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Decent night when you consider there was nothing at stake . Cook was a class apart for the visitors and there won't be many better at Shielfield this season , all in all it was good to get the cobwebs blown off and get the season underway . Tigers next up for The Bandits and premier trophy action hopefully we'll be firing on all cylinders with the guys having sorted out their set ups and ready to go . -
Unless his Sunday radio show gets cancelled , there's no chance of that

Middleditch Must Go - New Gb Boss Needed
DSC67 replied to John Leslie's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The remarks from Middleditch are unbelievable , he needs to be given the chance to explian what he meant by them -
Peronally speeking , when Dick switches his mic on I tend to switch off and dont bother to listen to whatever he's babbling on about I'm not that fussed about hearing the lastest hits being played over the PA system either , as long as the racing is good and Berwick can win the meeting I will go home happy.

Good news not only for the Bandits but for the sport of Speedway to have a worldwide name involved in the sport
-
probably 5.00 (assessed)

Money or the lack of it seems to be a problem with Cook , isn't that why he left the Comets to join Edinburgh ?
-
I never said that they where brilliant , just give them a chance that's all, I don't understand how you can say the Kozza or David are boring , we've tried teams with out and out entertainers in the past and it hasn't worked has it , and if riders like " Stormy " are available it would be daft not to go for him when he's practically on our doorstep particularly when you take in to account that the state of the finances in the sport not just at Berwick

Its true what they say about pleasing some of the people all the time and all the people some of time , seems to me that no matter what team the promotion put together someone on here would have to come on and moan about it . Personally I'm very happy with the line up looks pretty solid with riders who have the potential to improve their average , so lets get behind the team and give them a chance :t:

Very pleased with the line up

Isn't Robin Aspergren a Swindon asset ?
-
Web-site says that two riders are due to be present on Friday night at the forum , you don't have to be inspector Rebus to work out this probably means that they are British based riders , I would like to think that one of them will be Ricky Ashworth , but as to the other one ? Anyone know if Matty Weathers went home to Oz this winter ? Or is the other rider present going to be our official no 8 Liam Carr ?
-
According to an interview with Ricky on one of the DVD's there is nowhere else that he'd rather be racing , said the this has been his best ever season and would love to comeback

Renewal form lying on the mat tonight when I came home from work , already filled in and ready to post in the morning , roll on March and the ben fund meeting
-
Top news that we're running for definite next season , just waiting on the renewal for coming through the letter box well definitely be buying another one , lets hope for some news on riders soon Ricky Ahhworth first please , followed closely by Nicki Barrett :t:

With regard to the take over at Ashfield and weather this included David or not I was under the impression that he was an asset of the BSPA ATM untill the decided to make a ruling . IMHO the BSPA hoped the Berwick dropped him before he rode the required amount of meetings allow him to go back to the Tigers and complete his meetings there meaning they wouldn't have to make a decision on his ownership , this another fudge by those who supposed to act in the sports best interests .
-
That it would harm their integrity and that it was not prudent for ANY club to comment before the AGM
-
It seems that you and me are in the minority in thinking this way, I think it was very poor form that they didn't want their views published , and that think their excuse was equally poor
-
check my previous post or look up the facebook page for the reasons
-
This was proposed a few years ago , engines were provided by a major manufacturer and a couple of test meetings took place , the idea was thrown out by the BSPA , an opportunity missed IMHO .

Well done to the Diamonds on their truly deserved win a good job well done , the hard work was done last night at Foxhall and any thoughts the Witches may have had about clawing back the aggregate score rapidly went out the window with the poor show from Tungate & Poole who where never at the races , all the Diamonds chipped in with important points and Stormy was proved to be excellent choice of guest. In the words of Porky Pig "That's all folks" see you in March
