  1. Cracking all round performance tonight , great to see Matty Weathers pick up his paid max . Ben Barker is worth the admission alone great ride in ht 13 , when may guests would have been happy to settle for third place he wound it on and went for it . The change of bikes in ht 14 obviously worked for Paul as he was a totally different rider . Plymouth by and large were pretty disappointing and must be kicking themselves at missing out on at least a point . Hopefully Kozzas ear infection wont be too serious and we get some good news about Nicki
  2. Both teams are in need of wins so it should be a decent meeting , hopefully the weather will behave and the match will go ahead . I should make it through for this one after missing their meeting earlier in the season.
  3. Looking forward to this match should be some decent action with Roynon , Cooper, Dyer and Fricke in the line up
  4. I enjoyed finally getting back to Saturday night racing last night after our enforced break due the GP at Cardiff and our Tv match. Last night saw a decent all round performance from Berwick with everyone chipping in . Ben Barkers' class shone through and the Witches have him ( and Morten to a lesser extent ) to thank for their point his efforts helped to keep them in the hunt , also for the visitors it was good to see Risager overcome his past problems at Berwick . A good close meeting with some decent racing and a last heat decider that went our way for a change ,what's not to like ? Personally I'd prefer it if we could claim all the points by heat 14 and remove the nervousness of going into a last heat decider they're great if you're an away fan but not so good for the home fans .
  5. Hopefully we'll see a far better performance from The Bandits this year from when lost to the Witches last season
  6. First of all well done to the Diamonds on their win. It seems its back to square one for the Bandits as their inability to make a decent start proved to be their Achilles heal yet again , saying that despite the result I enjoyed the match there was enough decent action and controversy to keep everyone happy. I've just watched it back on Sky + and thought it came over well plenty of positive comments from Nigel lets hope the Sky cameras remember to come back , Finally a massive well done to all involved for putting on a great show
  7. Probably not selected never rode fro Hammarby in last weeks fixture
  8. The pre meeting entertainment will be the usual array of X/Factor rejects and failures along with an 80's pop star on the comeback trail , those who want to see it will be there , those who don't wont .the Real entertainment starts when the anthems stop and the tapes go up , lets hope for a meeting which is a huge improvement on last Saturdays bore fest in Prague but with a similar end result .
  9. No Kelvin on duty for this one , Chris Louis on duty as the co-commentator with Charlie Webster on interviews
  10. I'm sure it was in rules at one time that a team had to nominate a No8 when operating R/R
  11. Seem to remember that a few Edinburgh meetings failed to beat the curfew back in their Powderhall days
  12. Unless you can predict the future how can you possibly predict who Denmark were going to be drawn against and how the tournament finals would pan out ?
  13. What a difference a week makes , from the lows of last weekend to tonight, all the riders looked keen and they were all chipping in with wins. Paul Starke's win in ht 11 was fantastic especially with the added pressure of Kozza going off a 15 metre handicap ,.Robin seems to have found his mojo again and looked like the rider we know he is had genuine speed tonight and looked up for the fight, maybe dropping Alex and bringing in Eddie has given them the proverbial kick up the backside whatever it was its worked , also IMHO that's the best the tracks been all year
  14. I'm feeling a lot more positive about this fixture now after todays news , with R/R operating for Bellago it will still be a tough night but I think Berwick will have enough in the tank to get a home win and put some much needed confidence into the team.
  15. Once again the promotion at Berwick have pulled another rabbit out the hat with these changes , if Eddie Kennett puts a few more bums on seats then whatever he's costing will worth it .Hopefully this will kick start our season , one that was in danger of slipping away even at this early stage of the season . Onwards and upwards
  16. According to Denis last night its R/R for Bellago
  17. not unless he joined the grand prix circus without us knowing
  18. has the same basic shape as Berwick and has been used for world finals / GPs for years
  19. Maybe they should tell him to look at last nights GP from his homeland , long straights with tight bends and plenty decent racing
  20. What about his two last places , was that doing his job ?,his last place in heat14 , a heat he shouldn't have been in in my opinion went a long was to costing us the match
  21. The racing was a lot better last night , unfortunately for us Nick could not repeat his form from Friday night but I wouldn't use that as an excuse plenty of teams have come to Berwick in the past with guests who haven't performed . The form or lack of it from Edberg and Aspergren is far more worrying though .
  22. The lack of passing , entertainment and the poor quality of track isn't a problem that Berwick are alone in its all over the country , just look at some of the meetings featured on Sky . The meeting on Tuesday at Lakeside was a complete bore and that's not the first one , no matter how loud Nigel & Kelvin roar most of the racing is poor with guy with the fastest bike not the best rider winning. Speedway in general needs to take a long hard look at itself before its to late
  23. personally I think that the new exhausts and the way engines are prepared have a lot to do with it , bikes or the riders don't seem to like to much dirt
