  1. Good to pick up a win after last weeks debacle , even if it wasn't the greatest of meetings with most races more or less decided after lap 1 , however Claus did produce an excellent ride in ht 13 to keep Ben Barker behind him . I am slightly confused about the managements reluctance to use Matej Kus in hts 11 & 14 this may have backfired on us and let Plymouth escape with a point , tonight we got away with it the next time we might not be so lucky , anyways hopefully that should fill the lads with some confidence as they head to Redcar on Thursday night
  2. Yup , that's my point , you don't need to be an ex speedway rider or have any knowledge of speedway bikes to be a successful team manager
  3. Rob Lyon is an ex pro Darts player actually
  4. Personally I don't think that a team manager needs to be an ex rider , I may be wrong but I don't think that Davie Fairbairn , George English or the late Ian Thomas ever lifted their legs over a speedway bike in anger and they have all done a decent job as team manager IMHO
  5. We're an equal opportunities club don't you know
  6. surely the BSPA ad the other home organisations must have got something for selling the rights to their respective GPs to BSI ?
  7. Of course they do , the TV deal brings in cash not all of goes to Terry Russell , more important to know is what happens to the money from the GP? , in the days of the one of finals every club got a share of the money but, now how does British Speedway get from The Cardiff event ? and where does it go?
  8. I'd agree with that , poking fun at Dick is just a bit of fun The track was just like a home from home for them last night nice and deep with plenty of shale on it
  9. Waiting for that old codger on the centre green to come out off the loo , at his age it take a wee bit longer these days
  10. Anton Rosen anybody ? He looked a decent prospect to me & I though he was unlucky to get the boot at Newcastle due the numbers game
  11. Congratulations to The Panthers , they came they saw & they conquered . A big thank-you goes out to Stevie Worrall for his efforts tonight its a pity your "teammates" couldn't match you efforts . The Bandits were awful tonight there is no other word to describe it ( no ones I can use on here anyway ) , its a long time since I have been that disappointed after a Bandits meeting , ATM I'm struggling to find anything positive to say , I suppose we'll just have to put that one to bed and try to forget about it and move on to the next meeting .
  12. The bandits will join the list of other teams to lose at the OTA this season
  13. Ok time to put a lid on this I think its been done to death now , normal service needs to be resumed , can we get back to arguing about the state of the track or which rider is for the chop this week ?
  14. Yes that's true in this instance , but it wouldn't be the first time or will it be the last time for that matter, that the rule has been abused in recent seasons would it?
  15. Until recently I was under the impression that the use of mobile phones at all tracks was banned from the pits area during racing
  16. Why didn't Richard Lawson report his suspicions to the meeting referee ? Surely if this allegation is true the referee would have reported the matter and a statement would now be on the BSPA website ?
  17. IF , and at the moment its still an IF , the paramedic was under the influence then they must have been that way before the meeting started , if that's the case the surely the match referee or clerk of the course would not have allowed the meeting to start without adequate medical cover .
  18. Planning restrictions don't allow racing to start any earlierNo doubt the SCB will order a full inquiry into the circumstances behind last nights fiasco , an investigation will take place but as always in speedway nothing will ever be announced or come of it . Speedway fans / customers are treated like mushrooms ( always kept in the dark ) when we should be treated like royalty
  19. I'm sure that curfew for week nights is 10 pm due to thel later start time
  20. Curfew for weeknight meetings is 10 pm The track seem very patchy , with a few riders picking up unexpected grip and struggling to cope with conditions
  21. Not half as silly as the person who can't even get the surname correct
  22. It's not the first time this season that has happened , same thing with the Hall / Auty altercation , seems that the cut out is not 100% reliable
  23. Quest TV & Eurosport are the same company both owned by Discovery TV
