has the same basic shape as Berwick and has been used for world finals / GPs for years
-
Maybe they should tell him to look at last nights GP from his homeland , long straights with tight bends and plenty decent racing
-
What about his two last places , was that doing his job ?,his last place in heat14 , a heat he shouldn't have been in in my opinion went a long was to costing us the match
-
The racing was a lot better last night , unfortunately for us Nick could not repeat his form from Friday night but I wouldn't use that as an excuse plenty of teams have come to Berwick in the past with guests who haven't performed . The form or lack of it from Edberg and Aspergren is far more worrying though .

Berwick Bandits V Sheffield Tigers Pl 27-04-13 7pm
DSC67 replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The lack of passing , entertainment and the poor quality of track isn't a problem that Berwick are alone in its all over the country , just look at some of the meetings featured on Sky . The meeting on Tuesday at Lakeside was a complete bore and that's not the first one , no matter how loud Nigel & Kelvin roar most of the racing is poor with guy with the fastest bike not the best rider winning. Speedway in general needs to take a long hard look at itself before its to late -

personally I think that the new exhausts and the way engines are prepared have a lot to do with it , bikes or the riders don't seem to like to much dirt -

A win is a win , and that's about all you can say about tonights match still a long was to go yet with both the team and the racing surface . Comics up next and they will have some proper reserves -
Berwick V Edinburgh (league Cup) 20/4/13 @ 7pm

On a night when we needed all the guys to be on their mark unfortunately there where week links in chain tonight , Alex and Robin had particularly bad nights and questions will need to be asked about the performances of certain riders tonight , particularly our reserves although Nicki did improve in the later stages of the meeting , Edinburgh had 3 riders who only scored 6 points between them with a half decent score from our reserves we could have won this , anyways that's the league cup & the KO gone now , onwards and upwards bring on the premier league . -

The damage was done in the first leg of this tie , Ricky is not where we should be pointing the finger of blame for losing the tie its the guys who underperformed at Shielfield who need to shoulder the blame in this one -

A very poor performance in the home leg came back to haunt us tonight , but after been so far ahead we should have been able to put this one to bed , this is an absolute shocker  -

The Bandits will need to be a lot sharper at the gate for this one and we cant afford to give up any soft points . I'm sure Cook & co will need to second invitation to take the initiative if we give them the chance , I'd also expect to se a lot of Tabaka . A decent result here will give us a good chance of progressing through to the later stages of the league cup . Lets hope for a good meeting , some decent racing and a healthy win for the men in black and gold . -

It was obvious watching Seb in HT 15 that he was trying his damnest to find a way past , but there was nothing there for him -

Well done to Redcar fully deserved their win . Berwicks' middle order is looking a bit toothless ATM and is giving up too many soft points . -

Not the strongest of opponents tonight. I think we should have just about enogh ponts for tomorrows return leg .I'm sure there will be a lot stiffer tests to come in the following weeks & we can't afford to have Kozza giving away easy points, hopefully his fitness will improve in the weeks to come . -

Decent night when you consider there was nothing at stake . Cook was a class apart for the visitors and there won't be many better at Shielfield this season , all in all it was good to get the cobwebs blown off and get the season underway . Tigers next up for The Bandits and premier trophy action hopefully we'll be firing on all cylinders with the guys having sorted out their set ups and ready to go . -
Unless his Sunday radio show gets cancelled , there's no chance of that

Middleditch Must Go - New Gb Boss Needed
DSC67 replied to John Leslie's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The remarks from Middleditch are unbelievable , he needs to be given the chance to explian what he meant by them -
Peronally speeking , when Dick switches his mic on I tend to switch off and dont bother to listen to whatever he's babbling on about I'm not that fussed about hearing the lastest hits being played over the PA system either , as long as the racing is good and Berwick can win the meeting I will go home happy.

Good news not only for the Bandits but for the sport of Speedway to have a worldwide name involved in the sport
-
probably 5.00 (assessed)
-
Money or the lack of it seems to be a problem with Cook , isn't that why he left the Comets to join Edinburgh ?
-
I never said that they where brilliant , just give them a chance that's all, I don't understand how you can say the Kozza or David are boring , we've tried teams with out and out entertainers in the past and it hasn't worked has it , and if riders like " Stormy " are available it would be daft not to go for him when he's practically on our doorstep particularly when you take in to account that the state of the finances in the sport not just at Berwick
