  1. I'm much the same, if it wasn't for the fact I already had a season ticket which rolled over from last year I doubt I'd have bothered attending any meetings
  2. I don't think I've ever heard Dick being described as retiring
  3. Rosco's bike did the same in pretty spectacular fashion at Berrington Lough , there's a clip somewhere on You Yube
  4. That was more comfortable than I expected, mainly due to The Scorpions bad luck with engine failures and falls, but that's the way Speedway goes . A good night for TJ he looked pretty fast and was made to work for his points, but a night to forget for Tero and Josh . Pretty solid scoring from the Bandits but I'd say Jye is maybe still feeling the affects of last weeks crash . A good confidence builder for next week and another tough looking fixture
  5. Another tough looking fixture for the Bandits. Hopefully they'll be a bit sharper than they were last week.
  6. I've never really understood that , most other sports publish attendance figures, football clubs brag about how many season ticket holders they have , Cricket Counties can tell you how Man members there are , yet in speedway the figures are more guarded than the Crown Jewels
  7. Yeah I contacted them last night and was told my nanme would be added to the standing area
  8. Do you collect the season passes from the same spot as the previous years ?
  9. I'm not sure if it's still the case , but I thought than when a new owner/ promoter took over the BSPA usually wanted an experienced promoter to be on the license as well for the first year or so
  10. None of the above , Monty Brewster is the man for the job
  11. That's because his testimonial is usually organised by a committee separated from his club ( his employer ) so it's classed as a one of gift rather than earnings coming from his employer and is exempt from tax
  12. Probably for the reasons as people refused to give their kids the MMR inoculation, I’ve been offered the flu jab numerous times and have always refused it
  13. Who's going to pay for testing, Clubs or BSPA ?
  14. Another big consideration is that there are a lot of people on furlough and who's jobs may be in danger once the scheme starts to wind down . Money will be tight and speedway may not be that important to them , also will fans attending any matches need to supply contact details for track and trace purposes ?
  15. Until Shielfield Park is allowed to host football matches with crowds I can’t see there being any speedway in front of supporters
  16. I remember John Davis saying something similar about young riders years ago , saying like that they've got two bikes each and a van with their name on it , before they've even made a name for themselves
  17. Early guilty plea , looking for a lighter sentence ?
  18. Not only did he walk away , he came out and beat Havvy next time out
  19. I seem to remember that you had to get special dispensation to run meetings in November
  20. The equipment you talk about wil need to be paid for by someone at some point , with no income this could prove difficult
  21. Who owns the rights to the highlights of League matches and world finals ? Is it the TV companies or the BSPA and the people who run the GP series ?
