He already was when Carpman hinted that Emil might be a Panther rather than a Witch this season and got him all excited.

Come on mate you’re sounding a bit bitter here. It’s never easy to win away from home regardless of the circumstances and I get you’re disappointed.Your lot were there practicing today so the advantages are obvious. Rew has never seen the place but after taking a few rides to size the place up, beats Basso from the back. Lots of positives to take there from an Ipswich perspective.

To be fair, after heat 1 his rider replacement rides were only beaten by Doyle and Sayfutdinov which may well have happened anyway. We’ll never know of course. Either way it would have been last heat decider I think. Teams are going to have to have a healthy lead going in to heat 13 to take the points that’s for sure.

King has started this season like he did the season before last when he finished just shy of an 8 point average. If he gets back to that then the spearhead is as potent as they come. Riss and Rew chipping in too and it’ll matter little what the reserves do.

Good lad Keynan!

Don’t know why anyone pays any attention to track records. None of them are accurate. That will change with the transponders.
-
He beat Zmarzlik in a coin off then. How’s that?
-
Normal service resumed for Doyley. Dropping the one point to Lindgren in the heats before gaining his revenge when it mattered in the final Still the man to beat in this league.

Ahh fair doos wasn’t aware of that. A good couple of meetings under his belt then before Monday.
-
Understandable first heat nerves probably after his first competitive heat for 18 months, but then quickly back on it and finishing second after beating Zmarzlik in a run off. Promising. Edit: Good to see Jarek still on the gas!

Not expecting a win here, but as ever if we can keep it fairly tight for a chance of the bonus in the return leg then that’ll do. Doyle Emil and King should in theory score well enough here to keep it close. From the little I’ve seen, Rew might find the Showground to his liking too, looks to suit his style.

Can’t look at it like that otherwise you might as well shut up shop and not bother.
-
Riss Hume and King get a meeting under their belts tonight for Redcar so that can only be a positive with Monday in mind.

Ipswich vs Peterborough 23rd march
Arch Stanton replied to Gasser90's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There isn’t too much more rain forecast between now and Thursday evening. The problem is the amount we’ve already had in the last week or so. We’ve had more heavy rain again overnight and that is always problematic this time of year with little sun/heat to dry things out. Probably 50/50 at this stage but fingers crossed. -

He’s not the first and won’t be the last to have a spill doing his first ever laps around Foxhall, even in practice. Not the easiest track to learn quickly.

Anyone go to meet the riders last night? Is the riding order as expected, Rew at 2, King and Riss 3 and 4 and Emil 5?
-
-
Aye that’s him

And doesn’t the Witch suit him?

No. The best RS available was Drew Kemp, plain and simple. But, at the end of the day it’s Louis’ choice. He’s decided Kemp or Rowe for that matter, isn’t who he wants in his team this year. He’ll have his reasons for that and we have to accept that we don’t know exactly what they are. I’d rule out a monetary issue, the club are backed heavily and if Louis wanted Kemp they’d pay the dollar.
