So sad

Out of interest, who would people prefer out of Emil or Dudek?
-
lol it does actually look like he’s been superimposed on there

I’d never agree to that either. A rider who is on a guaranteed fee who receives the same money if he score 0 or a 15 point maximum, isn’t going to bust a gut and go for gaps when there’s high earning Polish fixtures at the weekend. Has to be SOME incentive to do well there. Maybe a much smaller guarantee, and then the rest on pounds for points.

As was Emil when he signed for Coventry back in the day. -

8 I’d imagine How long do you continue waiting though? Maybe there’s a cut off point where you just move on. -

That 6k isn’t a figure set in stone though, there’s negotiations to be had I’m sure. Ask for 6k, get offered 4 and take it probably knowing you were happy for the 4k to begin with. Bit like footie transfers, some clubs put ridiculous prices on their players knowing full well they won’t get that figure, but when offered a bit below that, accept it and run! -
“In England, he signs a new contract, very cold, but excited” Certainly sounds like a goer to me.

Bit bizarre that. Someone suggested Cook and Holder and was told they didn’t fit. We know Cook is on 4.92 with his British reduction, which leaves 7.35. Holder’s last Green Sheet was the 7.16 you’ve mentioned, from his Kings Lynn stint in 2017 so how can they not fit? Can’t see any rule that would suggest that average is no longer valid and would have to be reassessed -
Absolutely I can.

Or maybe Panthers as your new number 1..

Ours last season was laughed at by most on here as well and we were over 2 points under the limit and only just missed out on finishing top of the table in the very last fixture at Sheffield. The majority of people’s predictions on here are pretty crap let’s have it right -

You’ll still win home meetings even if the team you don’t want is named. All you have to do is keep in touch with 4th spot and wait until more riders make themselves available which they undoubtedly will. The removal of the transfer “window” makes things easier as well. More than one way to skin a cat as the saying goes! -

He’s not a bad signing by any means, but you’re right, certainly not a world class signing either. The chap seems full of hyperbole so I’d take what he says about the strength of the team and a title charge with caution. BUT, still three to confirm so best to wait and see, things can always still change until riders are officially announced. -

Quoting my own post I know, but after reading todays Star it makes more sense. The “young sensational racers” part wasn’t about the riders still to be named, it was those already signed, Basso, Cook and Jenkins. Those would be surrounded by “old hands”, or should that be “old Hans” -

Speedway Star. -
Interesting snippet in the Redcar section of the Speedway Star. Interview with Danyon Hume about his move there. Buried in amongst that.. ”Hume is hopeful of returning to Ipswich to double up in the Premiership, and feels the stars are aligning nicely in his attempt to continue climbing the Speedway ladder” No direct quotes from Danyon himself but that was obviously relayed to the interviewer off record. Thought that was interesting.. New boy Keynan Rew is the front cover headliner this week as well, with a two page interview inside. . Well worth picking up. Fully fit sometime in February and will be raring to go in time for press and practice.

That wasn’t what you were responding to. You were responding to Panthers70’ childish sly dig at the Ipswich fans “believing in miracles”. Not one fan to my knowledge, has said on here they expect to sign Emil Sayfutdinov. -

Guy Nicholls is the simple answer. It wouldn’t even be a consideration without him. -

There was something in the Speedway Star a couple of weeks ago that the Poles wanted the riders in question to agree not to ride elsewhere if they were to be allowed back racing in the Ekstraliga. Nothing mentioned about signed contracts though.
