  1. Oh I agree he’ll put bums on seats definitely, but I still wouldn’t want to see him at Peterborough. Nicki Pedersen would do the same, but I wouldn’t want Peterborough to sign him either.. I’d still make sure I was there to see him though 100%.
  2. It’s competition at the end of the day. If Emil suddenly rocked up at Peterborough would I be pleased that they had him and that I’d get to see him at Foxhall as an away rider? Not particularly, I’d rather they signed Andersen and Worrall
  3. Peterborough thread chaps Although maybe this is relevant! Carpy did hint that Panthers were in the mix
  4. ”we have a smashing line-up to be announced in the coming weeks, which includes some young sensational racers” That was said by the new fella only a few days ago so with all due respect to those four, could that description be labelled at any of them these days? I could see maybe three of them because I’ve heard similar, but possibly not all four. We’ll see.
  5. So if it isn’t just red tape what else do you think it is, Wolfie?
  6. As a fan, couldn’t care less about the financial side. That up to them to deal with
  7. Has PK still been active on a bike since his retirement? If he’s continued dipping his toe in now and again he might be up for it. Loved PK personally, was an absolute menace at Foxhall and rarely dropped points! One of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet too. Will never forget how kind he was to my kids seeking his autograph after meetings, top top fella.
  8. Agree on your second bit there. Personally I’d rather one top flight title than ten in the second tier.
  9. Bit more of an extension of Ritchie’s tweet in todays Speedway Star. “Witches are holding fire” is the headline. Basically it’s at least another month and they’re “keeping all options open and not rushing” The piece touches on plans being linked to FIM decisions and it seems still very much set on plan A for now. “we want to do everything we can to get the best possible side out, so that’s where we’re at. “Certainly we’ll be a team who are aiming to challenge for the title” So that’s the latest. There’s two sets of supporters I guess, those that are hopeful and will read that as a positive and will continue to get their hopes up, and the others who have seen this movie before and already know the ending
  10. 156 grand over the season. Nobody is paying that kind of money if those demands are true. Better off chucking Rasmus Jensen his 20k to set up in the Uk and then a decent pounds for points contract. Would probably come to half of that 156k.
  11. When you look at the Kings Lynn 2023 thread from page one, not one of their fans had Worrall on their team wish list for this season either. That’s also telling..
  12. Agree it will be a disappointment but I guess you can’t rule out further potential problems. Tricky things these visas. Agree with the point above as well. If plans are in place but nothing to announce for a few weeks yet, that rules out the theory of two British based riders otherwise it wouldn’t take weeks to sort. May end up going back to those over here though I suppose if things don’t work out but at the moment it’s clearly a waiting game.
  13. And yet another in the know enters the ring and comes out swinging!
  14. That hasn’t been established at all. Odds against, sure.
  15. Johnson said in the speedway star two or three weeks ago that they were due to make a team announcement early that week but that was shelved because things changed at the last minute. Just goes to show that a signing is never “done” until it’s announced. In out in out and shake it all about!
  16. I used to Baldy, then went a few seasons paying on the gate before getting one again last year. This time I’m 50/50 so the last couple of signing will swing it either way for me.
  17. Well I’m on the fence personally, and will wait until the final two riders are announced before taking the plunge on a season ticket. It’s gonna need an eye catching signing to persuade me.
  18. Kemp is on the rising star list, Hume wasn’t. For whatever reason, Louis decided not to use Kemp and went for Jack Thomas instead.
  19. Well obviously I wasn’t talking about “non speedway fans” lovey why on earth would I think people who are not in to speedway would suddenly go to see someone they don’t know? You know full well what I was saying.
  20. Nah sorry. Young British lad making his way in the sport, he’s done enough to get a team spot somewhere. I include my team Ipswich in that, he’s our asset and was available as a rising star but we opted for someone else. Kemp’s interview in the Speedway Star was interesting..
  21. I’d argue he HAS shown it. He’s been a victim of the hype that surrounded him early doors that makes people think he’s flopped when that’s not the case. Honestly when I see the likes of Lee Complin and Adam Roynon (probably) getting team places whilst Kemp at 20 years old being discarded and left on the shelf makes my heart sink to be honest.
