  1. Not necessarily. Would all depend of Rew. If he proves a success, swaps with Hume and holds his own in the 1-5 and chips in with a few handy points, then the team will do well. If he finds it tough even at reserve, then it’ll all fall apart. Keynan Rew would become the key rider. Bit unfair to saddle him with that pressure either way.
  2. Have to see who that last rider is. The only one that I’d say yeah, fair enough, is Janowski on 8.97 his last average with Poole. That’s unlikely in the extreme and not sure he’d even be allowed to ride even if he wanted to. Other than that it wouldn’t make a lot of sense as nobody else seems to come close to 9.2 average wise.
  3. Baldy is correct, Hume would start in the 1-5. Bonkers if that turns out correct regardless who the other rider is.
  4. Well if Gasser is correct, that rules out either Andersen or R Worrall for us. We’d have 9.2 left for the last rider..
  5. Can’t surely have Hume in the 1-5 that’s absolutely madness. He’ll hardly score a point with all due respect to him.
  6. That’s a fair point. Value for money plays a part. Maybe Tungate is considered “too expensive” for what he brings, whereas they’d pay more for someone else who’d bring a better return for their money.
  7. Iversen, Holder, Worrall and Andersen leaves you over 2 points under. No chance. One of your locks, possibly Iversen, has to be wrong. Unless Gasser is wrong of course, and Tungate is indeed in and Andersen isn’t.
  8. Well if he’s not in because he’s too expensive you can forget any thoughts of Emil or Nicki Pedersen!
  9. Robert Lambert and Ben Barker. There you go, easy
  10. But that is exactly what the delay was/is, of that I now have no doubt. Doesn’t mean he’ll sign of course!
  11. Sorry for being repetitive as I keep repeating myself, but I do believe people know stuff on here and they’re not blagging. But a rider can be “in” on the Monday, and then “out” again on the Tuesday. Still, as frustrating as it can be, it’s still giving us some interesting stuff to talk about while we’re waiting for March.
  12. I’d say that also puts pressure on him to deliver success. A league title is long overdue, and if he’s being backed like it seems he is, he has to deliver sooner rather than later.
  13. Just got to be patient and let this one play out.
  14. Still think Lynn will do well because they have two of the bigger average jumpers in Jakobsen and Pickering which is the name of the game.
  15. I think there’s one, possibly two riders that interest both our clubs and that could well be part of the hold up from your side. From an Ipswich point of view, you don’t sign a 6th rider if the 7th isn’t also sorted because that obviously reduces your options for the 7th rider massively. This Emil saga could well be the reason it’s holding things up from your end as well as ours, riders may be playing the waiting game before committing.
  16. Good to see a return of a home bank holiday fixture! May 1st against Lynn, 2.30pm start.
  17. Would leave 7.31. So if he is, that would leave a Chris Holder sized hole
  18. Slice it any way you like, but I’m absolutely certain his GSA would be higher than it is now if he was at Ipswich this coming season. Well, ALMOST certain..
  19. Disagree. Andersen at Foxhall in the 1-5 ups his current average comfortably.
  20. Would be a far better signing for us on sub 5 than for your lot no question. His Foxhall scoring would see that increase. Possibly part of plan B.
