  1. Shows how wide track used to be. The days before 2 metre fences.
  2. Track was wider before they were put out of Shielfield. Brick wall on 1st & 2nd bend was not there then, plus no 2 metre fence so straights were wider as well. I lap of the track then was 440yds.Starting gate also further back, in line with tunnel footie players appear from.
  3. Danys home average almost 6pts better than his away average. Hopefully having a decent meeting yesterday at a track where he recently had not scored, will kick him on for rest of the season. Strange thing is that Coty's average shows he is better away than at home.
  4. The late great Wayne Brown wasn't the greatest gater in the world but he could pass riders for fun. Another rider that was capable of scoring points on any track.
  5. Indeed especially with an appendix removal. A guy I once worked with was off work 4 weeks with a bust flask
  6. Just been walking the hounds and NBJ definitely there with bikes. r/r was mentioned on one of the blogs but he must be well enough to ride.
  7. Thank you that is basically what happened. The flags are up every week, but this time a few Lions fans were being a bit awkward when one of our group was trying to put them up.
  8. Lions fans are more than welcome on the 3rd bend. Regarding last time mountain out of a molehill 2 + 2 = 5.
  9. Had we had a guest at Scunny would have been a different outcome, 2pts from NBJ rides he scored paid 15 there last season albeit from reserve.
  10. Think they can use a guest as he is in Top 3 of our averages. 7.27 to play with at home with the 5% allowance
  11. Well after a 3 week break we welcome back our last opponents, this time in a League Fixture the Lions from Leicester. Team news from our website Berwick using r/r for NBJ due to illness, while the Lions go like for like replacing the injured Richie Worrall with his lookalike Steve. Shelby Rutherford at Number 7 for the Lions. Heard on Swedish Speedway last night a busload of Lions fans coming up for this meeting which is good to see. Going to be a tough meeting they will be confident after there last visit here. My predictions have been not bad this season so 45-45.
  12. Doolan on fb looking for a spanner man for Friday night at Glasgow
  13. July 27th a free night according to website.
  14. Made the trip down last night and thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. As much as I would have loved an away win, it was not to be with the Scorpions all riding well. Was a couple of outstanding heats last night with that young lad Doolan in the thick of the action tremendous. Quick mention for our guest Jason Edwards put in a heleful lot of effort for little reward looks a good prospect. Chips & Curry Sauce and pre-match pint vey nice as well.
  15. When Ellis went to Birmingham he had a massive average now it is down to under 8pts. So possibly same would happen to Dan If he signed for a Championship club.
  16. Yes the Berwick Bandits Supporters Club held a Bingo / Raffle night last night. There was a healthy turnout and it was good to see Jamie, Kevin, Scott attend. £250 was handed over towards the STARS project.
  17. No I live in Berwick itself. Not to say it won't rain later but at the moment just clammy
  18. Weather dry and clammy but these things happen. On a positive note after tossing a coin best of 47 times I am going out for a pint later lol.
  19. Not all supporters of Berwick have electric or gas yet . I would imagine as well as social media, Radio Borders would have been contacted to convey the news.
  20. So looking at guest situation for Sunday if that is the route we choose who is available. Be surprised if any Birmingham riders were available. as we saw at the 4's last Sunday a few of them ride abroad. Scunthorpe Stefan Nielsen, Danny Ayes, can fit. Redcar Ostergaard, Stewart, and Greaves who scored paid 11 there earlier in the season can fit. Who would be a Team Manager.
  21. If we went the guest route for Saturday there are 9 teams to choose from. Different scenario on Sunday only Scunthorpe, Birmingham and Redcar to choose from.
  22. On NBJ Facebook page, due to illness unable to ride this weekend.
