Back to the nitty gritty of the Championship Shield with hopefully a nice big win for the home side. With all teams in group now starting to win their home fixtures, that away win at Newcastle could be the one that sways it for us to reach the semi-final stage. Matty Wethers guests for the injured Jye Etheridge, with r/r being used for NBJ on Danish Championship duty. My predictions have not been bad so far this season Berwick to win it 52-38.

Bandits to win this one 52-38 . Cookie & Claus should score well, depends on what kind of backup they receive. Bandits probably have the edge at reserve. Hopefully a good safe meeting. -

Clegg has never been that impressive around Berwick, although he will be in amongst the points at Newcastle. -

Berwick to win 51-39, much stronger at Number 2 and reserve than our friends from Newcastle. -

Spot on Taff looking through an old proggie track length was 440 yards
-
Track was wider from 1968-80 as there was no 2 metre fences them days. Average time of a race then was around the 76 second mark compared to 66 seconds nowadays.

Back in the day I would do the odd Starting Marshal spot at Berwick. Used to be when I was satisfied all 4 riders were in place; I would drop my arms to my side wait till green light came on then walk away. There used to be a 30 yard flag as well where if a rider broke down you could push him to that flag to see if he could get under power again. Couldn't do that at Berwick now you would be into the first bend .

At this moment in time, Peter has not been approached yet about being inducted into the Hall of Fame. If and when he is asked it is his decision whether he accepts.

Utter rubbish Dick informed the committee by email and also a few of us verbally that he would not be able to attend as he would probably be in a sunnier climate. If he is home surely a simple email to inform us of his availability as the space is still available would have been suffice.

Scott Courtney praised the Supporters Club for having a bit of class last season. End of the season we handed over £1000 to the STARS project and in Scott's words bridges were being built. There has been a few digs lately in blogs on the Dirt Page regarding the existing supporters club, all I will; say is that if your going to put something on a website that is read by fans and supporters at least get your facts right.
